Vatikus Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 It would be nice that we finally get multiplayer sync clouds. DCS is probably the only mp fsim out there which does not have this.
Magic Zach Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 What do you mean? Like, one client connected to a server will see clouds in one area, but another client will see them in a completely different location? BitMaster Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 (edited) No, so that all clients on ONE and the SAME server see the same clouds and weather. ..edit* real useful in formation flying, so everyone knows when "they" enter the clouds and when someone is expected to "exit" the cloud. If you have different clouds in 1 formation things get nasty. Vatikus Posted October 11, 2017 Author Posted October 11, 2017 Not to mention, that right now, if you want to hide (i.e. evade) in a cloud it depends on a luck that you will be in the cloud for the other client as well...
Xordus Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 What the crap? I didn't know that wasn't implemented in DCS... Wow that's dumb.
StandingCow Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Wait... are you sure about that? I know many times flying with others in MP that we hit clouds at the same time.... 5900X - 32 GB 3600 RAM - 1080TI My Twitch Channel ~Moo
Winterz Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 I thought it was synced too. Never had any problem with that.
Esac_mirmidon Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Clouds desync when clients are using F2 often. Try no external views on servers and no more desync. " You must think in russian.." twistking Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Clouds desync when clients are using F2 often. Try no external views on servers and no more desync. that also happens in singleplayer. sometimes the cloud coverage changes completely from one moment to the other. i think it has to do not with the external view per se, but with the switching of location (switching through units, that are far apart) assosciated with the external views... that said, it is really annoying and i hope this can be fixed with the new weather/cloud system in 2.5. My improved* wishlist after a decade with DCS *now with 17% more wishes compared to the original
