Hi, just wondering if anyone has seen this or perhaps knows how to fix it....when I go into F10 in DCS 1.5, the icon layer doesn't sync with the underlying map layer, so when I zoom in and out the object icons don't remain in the same place on the map. I haven't analyzed it closely, but I think only the map layer is zooming, but not the icons, or they aren't zooming at the same rate. I also don't think they translate together if I shift the map around.

Also, the resolution the F10 map is drawn at, or the fidelity, the anti-aliasing and the fonts looks like crap, like it's EGA resolution or something.

It seems like it started when I upgraded my video card to a 1080ti (although maybe it was a DCS patch around the same time?). Every other part of the game is working great. Drivers have been updated, install is utd but this has continued through several patches. Also, my 2.0 is working normally.

Any clues? I haven't tried a clean wipe and install because it would take most of a week at my internet speeds, but I have ran DCS Updater utility to "clean" my install and everything seems to check out.

P.S. Since this problem began I got a new build (mobo, CPU and RAM upgrade), and upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10 (clean install rather, not an upgrade) and the F10 thing is still happening.

Last try, and an interesting observation. The map layers work fine in the mission editor. It's only in-cockpit that this bug appears.

It's nothing that I've seen on my end. I was using the F10 view yesterday without any issues.

Interesting, I've haven't had this..

Any mods installed?

Tried a repair?

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

I‘ve observed this or something like it a while ago. The different layers on one of the maps were in disarray. Maybe you could try to find out if there is another thread related to this issue, but I‘m not sure if there is. At some point the bug just vanished into thin air on my end (probably an update or repair) so I never bothered to inquire any further.

#11 Latest update fixed my F10 map icons.

#12 Even with the latest update, I still have the problem with the F10 map as long as "Scale GUI" is checked.

I had the exact same problem as seen in smallberries' video. Disabling 'Scale GUI' fixed it for me (although I need to see what impact that has on the GUI itself and if I can live with it). I only enabled that option when I upgraded to a 1440p screen.

No mods installed, it has persisted through a few patches, and I did a repair once as well. Just trying the scale GUI option now....

AAAAnd fixed. So easy. Wish I had thought of that before, thank you everyone!! In fact, everything looks nicer, menus etc....so fwiw I have a 2560x1440 monitor, and idk if that's material, but definitely scale GUI is not a good idea for me.

Just a thought: Why bother with 1.5 anymore? :devil_2:

Ha! The scaling bug affects 2.1 too, though, and I won't be surprised if it creeps into 2.5 as well.
