NeilWillis Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Beautiful stuff. I wonder if the explosions will be arriving with the Harrier module update, or if they'll appear when the 2.5 package is rolled out? I also assume we'll see the module appear initially in 2.x, with 1.5.x following later? Or maybe we'll get 2.5 and the Harrier all at once - wouldn't that be a bonus!!! I have rigged up a machine to press F5 once every .25 second to ensure I don't miss a moment flying this amazing bunch of pixels and code. Thanks for this Jabbers, and thanks RAZBAM for all your work getting this to market. Amazingly good choice!
Jabbers_ Posted November 27, 2017 Author Posted November 27, 2017 So when Harrier arrives in DCS 2.1. DCS will be updated to 2.5 ? No, I simply used it to demonstrate said items, sorry for that confusion. Twitch2DCS - Bring twitch chat into DCS. SplashOneGaming.com - Splash One is a community built on combat flight simulation. Nero.ger Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 why the hell does "fixing the HUD glass" alsways mean "making it darker"?! at least when compared to your previous Videos. 'controlling' the Ka50 feels like a discussion with the Autopilot and trim system about the flight direction.
Jabbers_ Posted November 27, 2017 Author Posted November 27, 2017 why the hell does "fixing the HUD glass" alsways mean "making it darker"?! at least when compared to your previous Videos. The reflection was toned down, but ya it seems to have been made darker. Why is that an issue? Twitch2DCS - Bring twitch chat into DCS. Nero.ger Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 contrast, its allready hard enough to spot vehicles and planes and a dark tinted HUD doesnt make it any easier. especialy if its not 12o'clock in the summer and the sun is high up. its the reason the F5 is gathering dust in my hanger. i prefer not to have eyestrain when trying to spot stuff. the Mirage 2000 for example doesnt have such a bad hudglass (yet) please fix it so its near or completely transparent 'controlling' the Ka50 feels like a discussion with the Autopilot and trim system about the flight direction.
Flia Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Im starting afraid about HUD visibility too. Its not look good. Very hard to read from your video :( 1 PC: i7 9700K, 32 GB RAM, RTX 2080 SUPER, Tir 5, Hotas Warthog Throttle, VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Base with VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Grip, VKB-SIM T-RUDDER PEDALS MK.IV. toma19 Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 (edited) Jabbers, Can you make a quick air to air refueling video? If you have access to the KC-130 if not with something else. Thx Also, do you have access to the small aircraft carrier? If so can we see that too?Hi have a look there Edited November 27, 2017 by toma19
grunf Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Thanks for the videos, I very much enjoyed watching them. As the 29th is getting closer, I'm looking forward to fly the Harrier myself, instead of watching other people fly it :D 1
Ala12Rv-watermanpc Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 (edited) why the hell does "fixing the HUD glass" alsways mean "making it darker"?! at least when compared to your previous Videos. Hud glass is matter (mass) and thus, it DOES affects light passing through it...expect some kind of darkening when looking through it...if you look at real life videos you will see how hud's look and they pretty much are not perfectly transparent (others even have some tint like the f-18 ) so a perfectly transparent hud glass is actually NOT realistic...however, I agree that the f-15 or F-5 huds are too much tinted right now but the Harrier one looks quite fine, maybe just slightly more transparent would be perfect but just slightly. Edited November 27, 2017 by watermanpc Take a look at my MODS here
Nero.ger Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 ....... i know how light works ;) but if i look out of my window i cannot see the glass, its not suddenly a dark tint when i look throu it 'controlling' the Ka50 feels like a discussion with the Autopilot and trim system about the flight direction.
kgb61393 Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 About HUD, ED just need to add helmet's fume glass, wich is easy to implement. Look on the MiG 21Bis and M2KC, developpers add it. Very cooland useful feature, just need to add it in game for "General settings".
