VAICOM PRO plugin for VoiceAttack

Can confirm having problems - I now have strange problems, too:

 

- shut down DCS & VoiceAttack

- started VA as admin, updated vaicom to 2.5.9.4, shut down VA, restarted VA -> 2.5.9.4 confirmed

- downloaded and installed AI RIO dll according to manual

- started VA, activated AI RIO license, did NOT YET enable AI RIO extension

- started DCS -> several Categories of Keybindings in F-14 module missing (e.g. "Stick", "Throttle"), see attached screenshot

- shutting down VA and repairing DCS brings back categories

I didn't loose all the keybinds but it messed up my Warthog joystick only control bindings for f-14, rest or the bindings are ok. Haven't tried repair or other modules yet.

 

Same for me with the latest update of Vaicom. Going back to the Jester wheel for now.

After shutting down VoiceAttack and repairing DCS, the Input Categories are back. Turning Voice Attack back on also damages the input categories again.

F-14 radio tuning is done using the regular plugin commands (Select).

 

 

Thanks for your answer. I experienced two things:

 

1. I tried it with F-14 free flight mission on the Caucasus map with a „Texaco“ Tanker. And used „Texaco, select“. Got the message in VA that there is no Texaco present. Then I tried „Tanker, select“, but received the same message in VA.

 

2. According to the manual pages you mentioned with the select command the radio call is addressed to the specific entity, but without easy comms, tuning has to be done separately. So how is that with Jester working with easy comms off?

And regarding the vaicom commands that have (show options), like TACAN mode - >(show options), is an option menu supposed to pop up? Because it doesn't.

After a few restarts it seems to be running w/o issue on my X56, can confirm though that the Warthog of my aforementioned buddy suffers the same problem that metzger has.

 

It is entirely reproducable: as soon as VoiceAttack runs, starting up DCS afterwards messes up Warthog bindings (vaicom 2.5.9.4, VA 1.7.3)

Ok.. So I installed the AIRIO.DLL file in the extensions folder and the message I get in the EX Tab is "AIRIO..DLL not Loaded". I have tried and installed it several times with the same message.Any Ideas??

Did you activate it from the "About" tab?

Just wanted to add that the updating of the keywords drove me up a wall. On my system at least, the entry box was blank, although I could see all the words when I moused over the field. It took me over an hour to realize that they were "invisible" and the delete and paste worked even though I couldn't see it. Why is that?

@Oban You have some lua install problem, possibly other apps interfering

Thanks Hollywood. Got past that one and then ran into the usual issue - F14B not being detected by Vaicom plugin on the PTT page.

 

Deleted Export.lua and VAICOMPRO folders in both DCS and DCS.OpenBeta. REstarted VoiceAttack, Vaicom. Then started DCS. STill nothing.

Hi.

Everything seemed to install properly, but no new keywords from AIRIO are recognized.

Looked into the EDITOR TAB and the keywords are there. Clicked the TEST button and VA prompts "276 missing aliases in VA profile VAICOM PRO for DCS World."

What am I missing? How can I load all those missing aliases into the profile?

Go to the editor tab of the Viacom control panel (Lt CTL, Lt ALT, C) and see if the finish tab isnt orange. That is what I had to remember how to do. You have to update the profile just as you would with a new command phrase. Hopefully that helps

with the recent up date the dsc coms menu is in auto and keeps on popping up I can delete the export files but that only last once

Found a possible Bug. During voice training TACAN Sierra Tango November is missing from the Command Phrase list. Drove me up a wall the last half an hour trying to figure out why that command doesn't work.

Finally got it working. Be careful not to mess with the F14B PTT settings inside DCS. Set it back to default, restarted everything and it seemed to work.

How is it working for you guys?

 

On my end its detecting Jester but that's it. Commands like Jester Scan 50 does nothing and its not picking up the scan 50 or frankly anything after Jester.

Three observations (two already mentioned here):

 

- Stennis TACAN tune command is missing in the keywords

- no INS alignment commands (yet?)

- Radio tuning not possible with easy comms off (yet?)
