VAICOM PRO plugin for VoiceAttack

Hey Hollywood,

 

what i get and as i said its irregular, but i go into editor, and both the reload and the FINISH buttons are illuminated, and then when i follow the steps in finish, it does not seem to make any changes, and when you click done there is no apply ...

Oh, you mean that whenever you go to the "Editor" tab, the "RELOAD" and "FINISH" buttons are highlighted in orange? And you click "FINISH" and do the "song and dance" cut&paste in the Voice Attack profile? And the "Apply" button is not active there? That's because there is no change, and Voice Attack knows that. When you paste, you just paste a string and if it hasn't changed it hasn't.

Now, VAICOM sometimes have the "FINISH" button highlighted whenever I enter the "Editor" tab when I select it after I've started VAICOM, even though no changes has been made. To test this, just make an alias or another "real" change, and you'll see a different behaviour.

I have the same issues, any fix?

 

I have 2 problems with Jester since last update: "Loud and clear" and "Check"

I have the same issue. Anyone has an idea, how to solve this problem?

Known bug - use "Assisted startup" command to progress. Will be fixed in the next update due shortly after release of the Super Carrier

Guys in the latest ob versions i have an annoying issue which i fail to fix using the instructions found here.

It is the comms menu popping up and down every two seconds without interaction.

Disabling menu in vaicomm options don’t solve the issue.

I read that others had the same issue some years ago.

But disabling and re-enabling exports, as recommended in those posts, didn’t solve the issue

Recognizes all my modules except Yak-52, Christen Eagle, and FW-190A8 (Dora is fine though)...

What could it be? Registry is ok, I've done the custom path/OB checkbox thing, deleted export.lua in saved games..

I know the Anton is working, at least it did for me.

Any mods installed? After a flight in the MB-339 I had some issues going back to a release module. Had to restart DCS, and yesterday suddenly the Sabre had some issues, so I had to restart the mission, don't think I needed to restart DCS. Little hiccup perhaps.

I purchased VAICOM and VoiceAttack and it is simply amazing. After training the Microsoft speech engine it is working much better.

 

But I still struggle with some words, most likely due to my German accent. Problems with words: Ball, Boar, Dodge, Crew, etc.

 

Any tips for that?

Yes, I have the same issues with "names". Add them manually to the Microsoft Speech Recognition dictionary with recording of your pronunciation. That will pretty much solve it. Also, if there are strange ATC names etc. Most of them have more than one name, that might be really different. Like Tblisi is also Lochini etc. So for instance, add Lochini as an alias for Tblisi in the VAICOM control panel, and then record it the dictionary.

BEWARE though when you alter things in the keywords list. I get some real strange behaviour and sometimes overwrite other words there. Any fix for this Hollywood? Or am I doing it completely wrong perhaps...

As MAXSenna says, add aliases for those you struggle with if adding them to the dictionary doesn't work. The aliases can be anything you find is reliably recognised and that you can remember

Yeah. I have the same issue with "ground". So I literally changed "ground power" to "external power". A limitation of the MSSR is that you cannot "train" the dictionary words. You can only record once. If we could train/record multiple times. I think it would work better, but alas...

But I've trained the MSSR many times. Like twenty or so. It gets better and better, but some words just don't work all the time.

Another tip if you EVER change the microphone. Make a new MSSR profile for THAT microphone, and train again!

I am getting the same issue with the FW190 A-8 (only bought a couple of days ago) - it doesn't show in the VA log when I enter the plane and the config panel stays at Easy Comms on. Will try and sort out why shortly, but trying the Super Carrier first :-)
