I don't know the exact number, but enough to maintain those birds we already have, but still less then half of what we will need. Lots of men are still on training in US, we just start to receive jets, and there is still a year of time for the first squadron to reach its operational numbers.

Looks like someone forgot his sandwiches and his mom came after him :D (she is touching the fuel tanks)

Could be the commander too maybe?

i have not seen any of the polish f16s with the conformal fuel tanks. but i heard they were ordered, so will poland receive them? will be interesting to see how they look and the effect on the f16s performance.

i heard the polish f16s will be equipped witht he joint helmet mounted cueing system. is this basically the same as the mig29/su27's schlemm?

some more info on the weapons systems of the f16s:

22 of the f16s will be equipped with LM AN/AAQ-33 Pantera targeting pod

20 will be equipped with a built-in electronic warfare system (AN/ALQ-212)

a large number of missiles and bombs have been purchased, including amraam c-5's and aim9x supersidewinders (now for the first time polish pilots will experience the 'tone'!) for a2a, as well as mavericks, JSOW JDAM and laser-guided bombs..

it looks like the f16s will be a definite leap forward compared to the current equipment! (though i still like the old migs and suki).

It was exactly the same with our Gripens :) (no thread hijack attempted ;) )

By the way, how about HARMs? Are you going to have them too? Which version?

On this time bought only this:

-6 Goodrich DB-110 reconnaissance pods

-36 Pantera targeting pods (export version of Sniper XR)

-44 AN/ALQ-131/-184 ECM pods (nobody knows which)

-8 ACMI pods

-48 JHMCS

-20 NVG sets

-130 LAU-129 launchers (probably with ALE-50)

-384 AIM-120C-5/-7 AMRAAMs

-384 AIM-9M2/X Sidewinders

-816 AGM-65G Mavericks

-384 CBU-87 CEMs

-140 CBU-105s

-280 AGM-154C JSOWs

-215 Mk82 bombs

-920 Mk83 bombs

-232 Mk84 bombs

-215 GBU-22/-24 sets for Mk82 bombs

-232 GBU-32/-32 JDAM sets for Mk83/84

-232 GBU-10 sets for Mk84

-232 GBU-16 sets for Mk83

Conformal fuel tanks probably in 2009 (Israel lag with production...probably)

We won't get HARMs with airplanes, we need to bough them separately. The same with SDBs I think we'll order them when all squadrons go operational, and the tasks will be distributed among them.

The JHCMS I a step ahead compared to Shlem - it is only half the weight, and gives pilot some information about the target offset angle etc. (who played Falcon 4.0AF knows what I mean).

Yep, looks like AIM-120B. Could be an A, but I doubt that.

The Eurofighter cost twice as much as an Viper, and at this point can't perform STRIKE, CAS nor SEAD missions :smilewink:

The missile is CATM-120B - it is training version of AIM-120B.
