terminator363 Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Bad news, I just converted to 2.5 release, at least with beta I could enter aerobatic servers now DCS just hangs on the loading screen. Not good so far.. Happy Bug Hunting!
Japo32 Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 (edited) Last update (don't know if this is release) and still with the same problems in multiplayer. I was able in 1.5 and in 2.5 I enter but it takes 15min to get in the cockpit while the cockpit is rendering from outside to inside at 1-4 fps. In single player no problem..dcs.zip Edited April 6, 2018 by Japo32

Jester2138 Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Even moderately busy MP missions are completely un-joinable for me. i5 6500, 1070, 16GB DDR4 Shame on ED for going to stable with such a massive, well-documented stability problem. I have cancelled my Hornet pre-order because of this.
Zaneboy Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Same issues, If I even make it to the briefing I'll crash quickly after. Either be it a DCS failure, DX11 renderer error, ctd...
Jester2138 Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Do we have any timeline regarding a fix for multiplayer? I just spent an hour trying to join Buddy Spike with no success. I even got to the cockpit once but it crashed before I could take off. Extremely frustrating that the product I've spent all this money on has been made unplayable for weeks by a "stable" update. i5 6500, 1070, 16GB DDR4
sslechta Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Looks like you just meet memory requirements for Low graphics settings on heavy missions. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/stable/ Minimum system requirements (LOW graphics settings): OS 64-bit Windows 7/8/10; DirectX11; CPU: Intel Core i3 at 2.8 GHz or AMD FX; RAM: 8 GB (16 GB for heavy missions); Free hard disk space: 60 GB; Discrete video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 / AMD R9 280X or better; requires internet activation. Recommended system requirements (HIGH graphics settings): OS 64-bit Windows 8/10; DirectX11; CPU: Core i5+ at 3+ GHz or AMD FX / Ryzen; RAM: 16 GB (32 GB for heavy missions); Free hard disk space: 120 GB on Solid State Drive (SSD); Discrete video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD Radeon RX VEGA 56 with 8GB VRAM or better; Joystick; requires internet activation. mguignes Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 OK so I also have a GTX 1070 with 16GB RAM but with an i7... So if you're telling me that this is low graphics settings then this is just insane, because I've been trying to enter servers with only 5 players and also crashes. Also, I do suggest you read all 22 pages of this ongoing forum and tell all the people complaining that they have low graphics settings.
OBT Lionel Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 I have an i7 3770 3.40 ghz, 16 Go ram, a ssd, a CG Msi gtx 980 Ti, Win 7 and i have the same problem than Jester. I try with low graphics setting and the problem is always here.
sslechta Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 Also, I do suggest you read all 22 pages of this ongoing forum and tell all the people complaining that they have low graphics settings. See the thumbnail. I did reply to you back in February. I was and am just the messenger. I didn't write the high requirements, ED did. I'm just trying to provide info that can assist users in getting around the issues. A higher amount of RAM is a way to get around it until ED gets a hold of the situation. Jester2138 Posted April 17, 2018 Posted April 17, 2018 Looks like you just meet memory requirements for Low graphics settings on heavy missions. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/stable/ Unhelpful. I run on low graphics settings on heavy missions, but the problem persists, because it has to do with loading the map and mission file, not your graphics settings. ED's changing requirements are a deflection, not a solution, and are what caused me to cancel my Hornet pre-order.
Leysard Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 I'm also unable to login to a server except the Just Dogfight one. I do not understand. Why would that server work and not any other one ? TheLocalMIlitia Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 (edited) First time I've played DCS in about 1.5 years. Booted it up after installing it and my FPS stutters, my game looks terrible even on high settings and I can't connect to any multiplayer servers - even low pops. What's odd is the last time I played my game ran in the high 50-60s at medium-high quality and connecting took no longer than 2 minutes. It was much smoother and much better looking too. What's gone wrong here? My settings used to be like this: Now even on low settings I get horrible lag spikes. Edited April 30, 2018 by TheLocalMIlitia

TheLocalMIlitia Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 1.5.8 installed. 60fps+ on High. It looks so much better than 2.5 and no stutters!
Roidman Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 I am also experiencing the same issues as almost everyone on this thread. However in the past few days I started getting a new Pop-up window during the log on process "DCS Crash, allow DCS to gather additional info...." Like others I have completely uninstalled/reinstalled the program. Noticed major issues AFTER the 2.5 release, things only getting worse. Frustration cup is now flowing over.
OBT Lionel Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Updates follow one another and nothing has ever been done to improve the situation. Always impossible to enter important servers.
