Locked at 45fps with ASW off

Give creating a profile a try, I use a profile and it is working fine for me.

 

Finally!! Yes profile worked. I can finally disable asw in DCS when I want.

I can't turn it off using the key shortcuts. Very strange. I know it's on, because I keep getting prop artifacts. I don't use the tray tool.

 

In another game ,the shortcuts work, but there I use Steam VR.

Are you using beta...seems I noticed this too.

Oculus Tray Tool still working fine for me to disable ASW.

I can disable it with the debug tool - the artifacts go away, but the FPS is locked at 45.

Just tested ASW...all 4 seem to be working normally.

I tested some more and when I switch ASW off in the debug tool the prop glitch is gone, but I still only get 45 FPS, never more. Sometimes when I'm alone over water and look up it goes to 46 for a split second, then goes back to 45. Likewise, when it gets busy, especially on the ground it seems the system is trying to lock it at 30 FPS. I rarely get 34 or 36 or 28. It's either 30 or 45 95% of the time. What can it be?

U dont need 3rd party tools to handle ASW settings. That works @ any time.

once the PC is booted, u can start it (or autostart), enter ur values and they are used until u shut down the computer.

I disabled ASW in Steam VR (even though it's not running when I'm playing DCS), and now I can get 70-80 FPS when things are really calm. Movement can be jerky though. With ASW on it's super smooth, but then I get propeller glitches when things get busy.

I'm seeing the 30, 45 fps lock in VR as well. When I look to the sky it'll try to reconfigure and jump around 90 frames but during normal flights its locked at 45. When on the ramp I'll usually see it locked at 30. I turn ASW off using right cntrl + numpad 1 .

 

I would like to understand why it tries to cap at 45 or 30 rather than deliver the frame rate that it can achieve, does anyone have any insight?

Im not getting anymore that 45 FPS and can't turn off ASW either. Running RTX 2080 ti too.

After some help with Turning off ASW, I’ve tried Turing it off in oculus tray, oculus debug software and via the registray hack in the DCS user files, all of which don’t work I’m still locked at 45FPS.

 

Has anyone got a same problem?

I have exact same problem but then I started DCS through VR steam with tray tools open on desktop, not minimized and it seems to work where its no longer locked at 45 FPS. My steam setting is at 200% with DCS DP at 2.

I just run DCS through steam by adding the exe to a non steam game. Oculas home screen still run even if I start DCS through StreamVR.

Seems i now have this problem & this used to be fine before but i'm locked to 45fps. I really don't want to run it through steam. The problem with it being locked to 45 when ASw is off is it mean auto ASW is also useless.
