Joe Kurr Posted September 7, 2007 Author Posted September 7, 2007 Hi Rock@wulf, welcome to this forum :) The circuit I used in those pictures was a simple pulse generator using an NE-555 timer chip wired as a monoflop (or monostable multivibrator). That one only handled one position of a switch, I have changed the circuit a bit to support two positions. For this I changed the NE-555 for an NE-556 (a single chip with two 555 timers in it). The only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to convert the pulse generated from my circuit to something my keyboard controller recognizes as a keypress. I have tried using a transistor, but besides getting quite expensive (you'd need at least one transistor for each key on your keyboard), this didn't work because the currents generated by the keyboard controller are too small (less than 3µA) Another option is to use solid state bilateral switches (e.g. HEF4016 or HEF4066) but I haven't tried this yet. Here you'd need one switch for every key, so each chip can serve up to four keys. I don't know if these switches can work with the low voltages and currents from the keyboard controller. Ells228 Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 I've just spent the last 2 hours reading each post and I have to say amazing work guys, you're doing an fantastic job. If you need a hand putting a web site up, let me know (it's what I do).
Rockwulf Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Well thats the point... I'm going to try this circuit: but then you would need external 12V powersupply and the circuit supports only 2 Switches linked to 1 key
leafer Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 HPO, You rock my world, baby. And I don't ever say this to another man. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

I'll tell you somethig about , if it wors.
HPO Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 HPO, You rock my world, baby. And I don't ever say this to another man. LOL  Can you show me the latest photo? Well there isn't much new to show, Kinda busy lately (again) :( ,but the holidays are over so all my colleagues are back again, this will bring back some time for me to do some research and designing. I've just spent the last 2 hours reading each post and I have to say amazing work guys, you're doing an fantastic job. If you need a hand putting a web site up, let me know (it's what I do). Thanks (I like the Hawk model for Lockon ) , Thank you for the offer, but Joe Kurr also does that for a living, but who knows.

Sure thing, my speciality is database back end driven web sites if that would help you out. Also, we now have a SU27 Hawk mod (although seems to be some issues with older gfx cards at the moment we're trying to sort out). http://www.virtualredarrows.com/Panacea/VirtualRedArrows.HawkMod_0.5.zip

I'll tell you somethig about , if it wors. There are 2 different ways to interface the IOMasterCard from Opencockpits, both have been developped by members of my squadron, the 3rd Wing: 1- Use the LoIOCP program that interfaces the LUA with the SIOC. It does a good job but is "limited" to the functions found in FC 1.1, and will not evolve as the original developper "Brothers" has stopped using LockOn. This system emulated the kepress corresponding to a command. This is the method I firts used for my cockpit. 2- Use the LoSIOC. First developped by "Lecreole", it is no more supported by him because he left LockOn for private reasons. I have continued the development of this concept. It works but it's still experimental. This time the purpose is to interface directly the LUA to the SIOC. Therefore, there is no limit, except those of the datas exported by the LUA. I'm still working on the completion of the interface, but it is already working well, and also fully compatible with FC 1.12a :D. The LUA programming is a bit tricky:doh:, but the SIOC is just a piece of cake :megalol: System Configuration: Windows 10 64bits, Intel I5-3570K, 8Go DDR3-1333Mhz, GeForce GTX 560Ti LE DCS-FC3 Version 1.5.3

Sokol1_br Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Gentlemen, See this French project, it foresees a universal base for some types of grip, the first one to be produced is the KG13-B of the WWII Lufwfaffe. http://www.valiant-studio.eu/tarmac/hangar.php Eletronics is Mjoy16 or BU0836 type: 8 axis, 32 buttons. Probably this universal base will be compatible of the o grip Su-27 of the HPO. And probably it must cost an arm and a leg. Sokol1 1
HPO Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Thanks for the link Sokol1-br, that's very interesting, maybe tomorrow we know the price of the base, sadly my french isn't that good anymore but babelfish did the trick.
Guest LorDDeviL Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Hi. Here any pictures from the "mondial de la simulation" at Paris le Bourget. I try it and it's beautiful and it's a very good work.
