Danny_P Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Question: Saw on the wikipedia that the Harrier is capable of using the AGM-88 HARM. Will we be getting that ? Pretty sure it's the Harrier II Plus that could carry the 88, not the variant we have which is the Night Attack
Silver_Dragon Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Pretty sure it's the Harrier II Plus that could carry the 88, not the variant we have which is the Night Attack The AV-8B harrier II never was implement to carried HARMs, wikipedia has not a useful info source. Understand all and checked Natops and all check out as stated, however can't find Maneuver Tone Logic. Is that just aural queues for flight envelope limitations? Anyone shed light on that please briefly and I'll search more Thanks

104th_Money Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 After the second to last update, not this most recent but the one released last week...when banking in the Harrier, the plane now has a tendency to slowly roll back in the opposite direction of bank. So a 45 degree left bank now needs the slightest left stick input to maintain bank angle...Wasnt like that before, dont know if its supposed to be like that... Andrei Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Interesting. Theoretically FCS should cancel those kind of movements. Also, Harrier has quite an anhedral angle on its wings which should counter the tendency to return to wings level. ChickenSim Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Interesting. Theoretically FCS should cancel those kind of movements. Also, Harrier has quite an anhedral angle on its wings which should counter the tendency to return to wings level. The combination of high-mounted, swept wings actually results in an overall positive dihedral effect despite the anhedral angle, FCS notwithstanding. "It is also true that we parted ways with Chicken after some disagreements."
