Ignition Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I'm having very annoying stutters. Every 20-30 seconds I have a freeze for 2 seconds. I have an I7 7700K, 16GB RAM, game is on SSD, GTX 1080. Tested in Caucassus, Mirage 2000C and MI-8 same results, no AI, single player. When the freeze happens the CPU goes to 0%, not temp related.

The_Nephilim Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Well this issues is pretty widespread.. I found out the nVidia drivers seem to be bugged from the 388 and up versions.. What nVidia driver do you use? What nVidia driver do you use? Actually yesterday updated the drivers and the issue seems to be solved. I didn't bothered with the drivers before because it was woking fine when DCS was on beta, it all started when the game went live. The sttuters seem to be gone. Thanks.
The_Nephilim Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 what version did you update too ?? I hope that was the issue and your welcome.. Ignition Posted April 12, 2018 Author Posted April 12, 2018 (edited) 391.35 And I had 390 something from January I think. I didn't test for a long period of time but in the time I played the stutters were gone. I had this problem for several days so I'm sure it wasn't an external and occasional factor. Also it was the only game I had problems. Edited April 12, 2018 by Ignition

The_Nephilim Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 thats interesting, what drivers do you use? I use the 391.35's but thing is with this bug not everyone is effected it is pretty strange.. Ignition Posted April 13, 2018 Author Posted April 13, 2018 I'm doing some testings and the stutters are still here  I still have the exact same issue. The game is unplayable, 20-30 seconds ok and then CPU drops to 0% and game freezes for 2-3 seconds.
Goa Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 dude have you change the power enery savings in windows? if your cpu drops to 0 that means that windows is set up on "balance energy profile". also make sure in bios you disable speedstep, c state, etc etc. CPU : Intel i7 8700k@5.0ghz cooled by Noctua NH-D15 / Motherboard:Asorck Z370 Taichi / RAM: 32GB GSkill TridentZ @3600mhz / SSD: 500GB Nvme Samsung 970 evo+1 TB Sabrent Nvme M2 / GPU:Asus Strix OC 2080TI / Monitor: LG 34KG950F Ultrawide / Trackir 5 proclip/ VIRPIL CM2 BASE + CM2 GRIP + F148 GRIP + 200M EXTENSION /VKB T-Rudder MKIV rudder /Case: Fractal Design R6 Define black

Ignition Posted April 13, 2018 Author Posted April 13, 2018 I had a really bad freeze in windows yesterday. I checked the S.M.A.R.T. of the HDD and I have inteface CRC errors so I re-plugged the SATA again and the freezes in DCS are gone. The strange thing is that from all the games I play DCS was the only one with some sort of problem. If it weren't for the freeze in windows I would never find out.
Marcq Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 I have the same freezes issue but not when I'm not logged in, noticed that when I disconnected from the internet for some testing Marc..
Reflected Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Since 2.5.1 I've been getting micro stutters too. Mostly when AA guns are being fired (Normandy) Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
