Hi.

Since I see some of you guys using the X52 and the X52 PRO, what are the differences? Has anyone had both? I'm thinking of purchasing either one, but dont know what to go for, as there is a 50 Euro Difference or so.

Thanks!

Here's my setup. I made a simple table to fit around my chair so I don't have to put my Cougar stick and throttle on the table with the monitor and keyboard. :joystick:

Yeah that looks like a remarkably stupid and easy enough setup that I just might do that too! :P

I can highly recommend it, as it is very sturdy because of the boards all being at right angles and won't move one bit once you sit on the chair. Also, it is very easy to build, even a noob like myself did it in less than an hour of work.

Just as an observation Urze (I'm not telling you how to do anything or what should work for you). I had an office chair that I mounted to a plank of wood so it wouldnt roll around. I took off all the wheels and drilled holes for the five points (each removed wheel had a peg that stuck out) and one big hole for the hydraulic middle pole. The chair still swiveled and could go up/down/tilt but wouldnt roll. I added casters under the plank for easy moving. Just an idea, when I get back from Seattle I can take a picture if your interested in the idea (pics speak louder than words). It was for a racing set up but it will work the same. Just PM if I forget, an easy project that can be finished in a half hour and you can always put it back the way it was if you dont like it!

I can turn the stand with the Throttle 180° to control a fixed wing aircraft.

Nice! any chance you can do this with a CH fighter stick or at least know how with out rendering it useless?

DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

Nice!

Is the stick located between your legs or on the right side of the chair? Hard to see it on the picture.

^^^

Stick is between the legs, feels much more natural and easier on the shoulder when I fly few hours straight :)

Could you list all the hardware You use for simming?! I see a Cougar, but I'm interested in that switch panel/throttle you got there!

What is it?!

@ Vekkinho,

- HOTAS Cougar with IJ's U2 mod (I think) and Hall sensors

- self made rudder pedals

- TrackIR 5 Pro

- self made panels with switches and few axis leavers (I used these for IL-2), using BU0836A interface (see here: http://www.leobodnar.com/products/BU0836A/)

- 7" touchscreen (currently use it only for Ventrilo)

- TM MFD Cougar with 8" TFT Monitors behind them (not using them ATM to display anything)

that's pretty much it

Here's my setup:

The X-52 is mounted to a 1x8 (edges rounded) and sits in my lap when flying. Not the most pristine method, but it works out well for my set up. I work at my desk more than I fly, so being able to set things off to the side easily is a must :)

The switch panel is a prototype. I'm working on a final version it though. I'm designing it so it can be versatile across different flight sims and be modular. Also keeping in mind other people like me who are on budgets, have wives that won't let them build a full pit....or for both reasons like me lol!! I'll post more when I'm closer to a presentable design.
