Since the latest update, the button to select FM for the radios has disappeared, replaced by "menu" (which cannot be selected), see screenshot. How do I select FM?:helpsmilie:

Yup, sometimes it doesn't take the frequency I enter into the UFC, sometimes I can click AM to change to FM, sometimes it blinks back and forth between AM and FM, can't figure it out. For full disclosure, doing a cold start on a carrier her, not sure that makes a difference...

I dont have that, just tested on a already airborne mission.

Did you experience that after cold and dark start?

Having the same sort of issues as those discussed above since the latest update.

Have only tried this in single player but with several of the quick start missions.

Seem to be able to switch between AM/FM with the preset channels, however cannot select FM from a manually selected channel. Either flashes between AM/FM, or won't change at all.

I'm experiencing a similar issue.

If I try to enter a manual radio frequency, the AM/FM select option on the UFC is constantly cycling between AM/FM. Sometimes if I press the AM/FM button it will stop cycling, but not always.

Also, when I try to enter a manual frequency it doesn't work. I press CLR, then type the full frequency, then press ENTER and it doesn't accept the new frequency it just defaults back to the mission editor default (305.000 usually).

Not sure if this is a bug or if I'm just doing something incorrectly.

I'll post a track when I get home from work.

Try to hold the ENT Button a second like i did in the video above, else it will return to Frequency before input. New freq blinks one time and becomes solid.

Yeah that drove me nuts until figuring it out. Sometimes a quick press works, but a long press does the trick.

Other times it depended upon what type of channel I was in, preset or M. Manual more often than not took a quick press, but sometimes not and changing a preset usually took a long press.

So at least i was able to reproduce.

But i had to fast click like mad like i saw in your track. (no offense of course)

does it behave normal when you just single click? the video in the other thread from fist of zen starts alrdy with bug shown, unable to see if he quadruple clicked the buttons

Edit: I could stop FM/AM switching with one click on the button.

I click once, it starts to blink AM FM, then I click again and it stays on AM.

Am I special?

I have to bump this after two years... I just started getting this problem after receiving the TekCreations UFC. The selected radio would keep alternating between AM and FM and not let me change frequencies.

I've traced it happening to when the comm volume is controlled by a potentiometer. If I delete that setting, it goes back to normal. I'm using the latest OpenBeta.
