jeffham222 Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 So on the CV takeoff Instant Action mission, I can get rid of my stores, re-config fuel tanks, and choose a different skin, but I can not make the pylons go away by calling up the refuel/rearm option. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a glitch on this mission or in general? Thanks in advance. Habu_69 Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 Works for me. At the aircraft weapon loadout window select Remove Pylon (or something like that) and a faint "X" appears over the station.

Yeah that faint "X" shows for me, too, but pylons are still installed... Maybe I need to restart again... lol... Revs Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 Works on Mission Editor, can only add pylons while in refuel/rearm. Greyman Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 You get rid of the pylons by editing the mission and creating a new loadout that has all of the stations marked with the faint X to indicate that the pylon for that station has been removed. Make sure you have selected that new "no pylons" loadout, or whatever you've called it, and have saved the mission before trying to flying it. As far as i know, this is the only way to get rid of the pylons and so you will not be able to get rid of them via the rearm/refuel dialogue, that you call up from the cockpit.

FistofZen Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 If you arm only 3 pylons (center and 1 on each wing) you get 5 pylons instead of 3. Am I special?

No, no, no...that's not right if it only works that way...You should be able to remove the pylons WHENEVER you can ask the ground crew for a new loadout...not just via the ME...the empty slots just create more drag Edited June 17, 2018 by Alphamale
