crazyirish93
As the thread title states the ns 430 will power off when the afterburner on the mig21 kicks in and will power back on after the afterburner has been disengaged. Steps to reproduce: 1.Start mig-21 or spawn the mig 21 in the air. 2.open the ns430 and power it on. 3.increase throttle to engage afterbuner(ns430 will power off.) 4.Decrease throttle to mil power(ns430 will be powered again.) DeltaFox
a bit offtopic but; how do you enable the ns430 overlay?
Auditor
Seconding and bumping this bug. It doesn't seem to recognize the afterburner detent as being the engine turned on.
Frederf
MiG-21 does this weird thing where AB RPM is negative. I'm guessing when RPM is <0% it thinks the engine is off so is the NS 430.

Auditor
Check if its been fixed. Afterburner detent was changed to 11% RPM.
Ramsay
Check if its been fixed. Afterburner detent was changed to 11% RPM. No change in MiG-21 behaviour in DCS 2.5.3.22176, when afterburner kicks in, the NS430 powers off. Looking at MiG-21 file dates - the last patch was 26/09/2018 and before that 20/06/2018 (Persian Gulf RNAV, etc.), so perhaps it hasn't been push to Open Beta yet ? pepin1234
We really need a fix here. Mig-21 in 21 century have been updated with this kind of GPS on board. It is really needed [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

pepin1234
Any one in developer team to clarify this situation. We have right to use the GPS. Or Mig-21 is banned of this technology in DCS? 15 post asking and no care about [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
danvac
Did anyone tried to submit bug to MiG-21 module...as negative RPM does not seem normal at all... https://leatherneck-sim.mantishub.io/ or https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=
SkipperSMG
Did anyone tried to submit bug to MiG-21 module...as negative RPM does not seem normal at all... https://leatherneck-sim.mantishub.io/ or https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=346 I did on 2018-11-08. It has been "assigned" and was categorized as minor issue. So, with all the new bugs constantly appearing i suppose it will take a good addtional while to be fixed. i5-2400 | 16GB Corsair XMS3 | MSI GTX 970 4GB | 500GB Samsung 850 Evo | TrackIR 5 | TM Warthog | Saitek Rudder Pedals | Windows 10 64 bit [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

pepin1234
That can’t continue like that. Do you really think ED can do something to avoid that. ED have become a developer after broke contract with Ubisoft and Flaming Cliffs product. Now all the management go to The fighter Collection management. danvac
Not sure what you mean pepin1234... MiG-21 module is owned by Magnitude 3 LLC... I would fix it on ED side by disabling NS430 for MiG-21 completely but that won't be any better for you.

Someone need to be on charge to help get the right path in case both developers need work for a particular issue. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

slicker55
I bought the NS430 a while back but only got round to trying it out in the MiG-21 last night. The afterburner issue as reported in this thread almost 12 months ago still persists and is a PITA because when the NS430 powers back on it needs a few clicks to get it back to where it was when it switched off. i7-5820K 3.30Ghz | Asus X99-S | Sapphire R290X | R7 240 | 16GB DDR4 PC4 2800MHz | Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD (OS) | Samsung 840 EVO 500GB SSD (DCS) | Noctua NH-D14 2011 Cooler | OCZ ZT 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular PSU | NZXT Phantom Enthusiast | 3 x IIyama Prolite E2473HDS 24" | 1 x Dell S2240T 21.5" Touch Screen | Windows 10 64-Bit | AMD Eyefinity 5760 x 1080 | TrackIR5 | TM Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind 1771 | Vaicom Pro + VA (Licensed) | Sennheiser Game Zero | Honeycomb Yoke (June 2020)]
