Unfortunately, due to events today, I will NOT be able to host the game. During the move to my friend's house my server decided it did not want to live anymore : Bluescreens all the time (has been up 24/7 for the last wks 100% cpu usage and today it decides its life is over =((( ). This is a real shame because his connection turned out to be really fast =(.

We are currently testing the mission on JaBoG32's server.

Yoda: I'm sorry to hear that! Thank you for being willing to host and I hope your sever can be fixed. S!

The code is probaly in Russian anyway.

The Op begins at 1400 Zulu. The current time zone in theater is Charlie (Zulu +3).

Atmospheric Conditions:

Sunny

Particulate Matter is high with a Visibilty of 50km/12.5nm @2km/6600ft

Winds:

Ground: NNE at 10km/h

2km/6600ft: NNE at 15km/h

8km/26000ft: NNE at 50km/h

Temperature:

10C/50F

You mean 27 nm right?

12.5 nm is something like 23-24 km.

Perhaps I just misunderstand the way you wrote it?

BlueFor: JaBoG32's TS will be the location for comms for Blue FOR. I will PM the squad leaders the details.

For RedFor: We are going to use the 504th TS. Goon and Goya I will PM the details to you. Also I will disclose the info to Laud, Sven and Foxter so that we can all meet up afterwards to brief each other.

EDIT:

REDFOR IS USING 504th TS. This TS will be used for outbriefing at the end of the mission.

2 questions:

- What season? (Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring)

- To clarify the wind issue, please give both values:

from where does the wind blow and into which direction?

In aviation the wind direction is given as blowing "from", in LockOn mission editor you enter it as blowing "to".

So please give both, the from and the to.

In the meantime I could clarify the wind directions with Fudd:

- RL aviation => blowing from => 202

- LockOn mission editor => blowing to => 022

regards

JaBoG32 Schleudi

The above is correct.

The Wind values are in Kph, so at Ground level the speed is 10kph at 2000m it is 15kph and at 8000m it is 50kph

Blue Dudes:

Our final plans are up on the Jabog forum. Check it for the Air-Air gameplan, Air-Ground Gameplan, and the Overall Plan.

If you need access see Laud. If you cant get it, ask either 3Sqn_Fudd or RvE Yoda to fill you in, they have access.

Thats it from me for the moment, Blue team, see you at 1300Z, Red Team see you in my LCOS!

There is something that needs to be said and no one has said it yet. So, I will take this opportunity to make it clear to everyone who is and also who isn't participating in this exercise:

Additions to General Rules

Dropping from the game due to computer problems:

Ensure that your system is stable. As 3sqn_Food said in an earlier post, kick your girlfriend off the internet, quit downloading tranny porn and lower the clocks if your OC’d. Please don’t be the one that is running multiple virus checks and defragging your hard drive while trying to fly the mission. ENSURE THAT YOUR SYSTEM IS READY TO HANDLE THE STRESSES OF LOCK-ON

Once we start the mission and it is clear that the server is stable, I will call “point of no return.” In other words, if you get dropped than you will not be allowed to return.

Strike Fighters: Obviously you will need to leave the game to change loadouts. YOU MUST FIRST DECLARE YOUR INTENTION TO DO SO. I will verify that you’re on the apron at home plate and then give you the go ahead to leave and then return with a new loadout.

Lagging and Server Stability Issues:

During the duration of the mission, if it is found that the server cannot handle the client load, I will be asking one pilot form each flight to drop from the game. In other words, each squadron will drop one fighter pilot and one strike pilot. Obviously this will be a junior officer… MAKE SURE HE IS AWARE OF THIS POSSIBILTY!! I don’t want any crying or whining, just leave the game as asked and do it with dignity like the professional that you are!

I don’t want to be the devil’s advocate but how are you going to stop blinkers? :D

The squadrons that are participating tomorrow are cognizant of the fact that they are representing their squadron to the rest of the community and therefore will conduct themselves with honor. In other words, I doubt I will see any crap like print screening or ecm micros.
