ED Team Groove Posted June 1, 2007 ED Team Posted June 1, 2007 Guys, there were planty of announcements about BS and some "read between the lines" infos about what will be improved in BS. Our Forum Rules: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en
suntrace1 Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 What about night vision for all planes? Did I mention 6dof?
RogueRunner Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 6dof only in the heli if I remember correctly With the price of ammunition these days do not expect a warning shot.
Force_Feedback Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 6dof=6fps=666=\m/ Now only the money for that 'ATI Quad Crossfire X2500 whatever is te best thing out there' thingy. And, please no epic ejection sequence with Spielberg camera views you can't pause. And remember, the chopper will start falling down AFTER the rotors are jettisoned... Jes, I had the joy to see EECH1+ (aka EECH2) in action, damn it's just EECH1 with new textures, what a rip-off. So, don't rush the BS release, we want a game to surpass Team Alligator, not equal it except for textures :P (I know the AFM will take care of that) Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
PaddyTB Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Man, those movies are sensational. Thanks guys. Or should I say damn you. :noexpression: I have managed to finally be quite patient about BS and content to wait. But after those.... well... Now look what you've done. I want the thing bad again now. lol. Thanks very much ;) AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Socket 939, Motherboard Abit AV8, Corsair DDR PC3200 - 4 x 512 MB ASUS AX800Pro Flashed to X800 XT, Samsung CD/DVDRW, Seagate 2 x SATA 250G RAID, Creative Soundblaster XFi Xtreme music, Trackir 3 Pro, Saitek X52 Pro, Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit
spugnut Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 If there's a sudden rush of info in July it's quite possible I will wet myself. (Do you think ED will cover my cleaning bill?) Lt. Commander Block: Every aerial photo and recon report indicate a defensive arsenal in the D, and perhaps negative C, categories. There's also some anti-aircraft squadrons. Admiral Benson: I don't have a clue what you're talkin' about, Phil. Not a clue. I have a shell the size of a fist in my head. Pork Chop Hill. The only way I can make this toupee to stay on is by magnetizing the entire upper left quadrant of my skull, so you just go ahead and do what you do.
thereminqblank Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 If there's a sudden rush of info in July it's quite possible I will wet myself. ...therefore living up to your name! :P "Unholy Roller" [sIGPIC]http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/images/userbars/A-10C_UserBar_01.gif[/sIGPIC]
rattler Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 I don't think we can expect anything for fixed wing A/C in BS. All the improvements(sorry) most of the improvements will be for BS. We even lose the su25T. It's there but not flyable anymore. I do believe I saw that in a post here. U.S. aircraft are certainly not going to be touched. Why have them(oh for the RU A/C to shoot down). What is ED's new projects for the future, only ED knows.Lockon is an RU Flight Sim and for those of us that like the U.S. A/C well we have what we have. Too bad,it could really rock if we had an even footing, then it's pilot against pilot. I hope I am wrong but from what I can see BS is a helo game..Has it's own campaigns, etc., how it interacts with Lockon we will have to see. Online play, will be two different things. FC and BS. Now that's too bad. If it were just one I think it would be very interesting Playing online. Fixed wing fighters, helos, tank busters, now that would be interesting. That's my take right or wrong. Cheers.

I hope you didn't see that post!
Force_Feedback Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Why would they get rid of the Su-25T after all the work they put into it? I hope you didn't see that post! And they stated perviousely that if you bought FC you can fly the Su-25(T) and the Ka-50... Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
Allochtoon Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 I think i'm gonna like an advanced helo sim. The thing that really got me into combat sims was comanche. Man i loved that game.

Weta43 Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Repeating what FFB said for all those who only half read posts; Ed said that if you have FC, you will retain the content from FC & add the content from BS. If you don't already own FC, LO will be upgraded to BS standard, but the AFM Su-25/25T will not be added. from LOCKON.ru If you already have Flaming Cliffs, it will add all the 1.2 content. If you don't have Flaming Cliffs, it will upgrade Lock On to 1.2 standard but it will not include the Su-25T and Flaming Cliffs missions and campaigns. (& Hopefully the initial LO modeled Su-25 will no longer be flyable with the SFM to avoid giving it an unfair advantage) 1 Cheers.

rattler Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 I assume missile behavior will be improved... Less Bugs... better compatibility with vista... (I hope) Oh, and most likely reduced frame rates. I would really like to see that happen but I think BS is going to drop your FPS.It will take a lot of CPU power to provide a smooth BS helo. My opinion only.Cheers.
VMFA-Blaze Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 From what I've heard, dual core handels FPS in Black Shark very nicely... ~S~ Blaze intel Cor i7-6700K ASUS ROG MAX VIII Extreme G.Skill TridentZ Series 32 GB Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SATA II ASUS GTX 1080/DIRECTX 12 Windows 10 PRO Thrustmaster Warthog Oculus Rift VR
suntrace1 Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 I don't believe they've changed the code to implement dual core's potential.

My opinion only.Cheers. The only laggy factor will be Vista if you ask me. A helo moves not faster than 300km/h over terrain. The cpu/gpu has more problems with a mig29 moving at 1200 km/h close over a city (caching like hell and pumping new data very fast too). Fly with a helo over the Alps with the high def FS2004 terrain and you will notice less problems with the helos. But blowing up these high poly ground targets and hanging around will definitely decrease the FPS. Dunno how that is since I get better framerates than I did with winXp...and I do have them both to make that comparison. The difference is great, really, but gets even greater once I plug in my 2 gig USB device for extra speed using ReadyBoost. You cant do that with Xp. Then that is very good news because… Maybe drivers are already improved by now but anyway in January all I got was negative reviews: “If you're a gamer, there may be some good reasons to upgrade to Vista, but better performance is not one of them—and it may never be.”: Quote by Extreme Tech. EscCtrl Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 HuH? What he's saying is that BS will run well using a conroe, not because it is dual core as it will still only run on one of the cores but because conroes are such powerful processes BS will run even better anyway, even if only one core is in use. Hope that makes some sense.
