The same thing happens with the jtac in the missions of a player, jtac will not respond after the 9 lines. Please fix the jtac once … thank you

I set up some radars only on a practice mission, basically built a bombing range with typical Iranian threat emitters, I had the SA-6, 11, and Hawk, and a SA-15 with ROE set to hold, and it didn't like them either, as soon as I deleted them the FAC worked again.

Neither the SA-2 or Rapier units have definitions set for them in Sounds\Speech\NATO.lua in NineLineBriefRemarks (starting at line 708 where it lists the displayTypeIds). If the JTAC detects them it throws an error into the dcs.log with the error listed on line 674 for a nil displayTypeId, which results in a hung JTAC when trying to copy remarks.

 

Units affected:

- rapier_fsa_blindfire_radar

- rapier_fsa_optical_tracker_unit

- rapier_fsa_launcher

- SNR_75V

Armour with Tunguska and Tor appear to stall JTAC?

 

Tried same column with CTLD JTAC and no issues seen.

Further to the above, it seems JTAC is not working properly at all.

 

 

No Lasing or WP on target. That's Armour, BMP's. When using M2k with no on board laser designator, its a shame! No BDA. Nothing working as it used to.

 

 

CTLD does work though.

Good call Grimes, that'd probably explain why my check in doesn't play but JTAC still responds initially. It doesn't know what to send for them. Time for me to dive into the lua to see if there's a fix. If only it was something other than the cannon and Sidearms, two of my favourites!

Sounds/Speech/Nato.lua at line 315 there is a list of weapons in categories so it knows what is what. Its kind of obnoxious because seemingly anytime something gets added to the game nobody remembers to update the JTAC code so it doesn't error out when that new thing is present.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

I currently have this issue, whilst using JTAC against WW2 assets.

7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat
