fixed Screen flickering since 2.5.4

Is there a fix for this? I also have the black boxes bug, and for me it takes over the whole screen after a few iterations. I am running the latest OB 2.7.14.23966.

I have a few tracks that were sent to devs, but these tracks rarely reproduce the bug.

Have you found a way to reproduce it 100% of the time? If so, please attach a track. This could help devs in fixing this.

From my observations it seems, that this can be somehow dependent of the clouds used in the mission.

This is a server track: when I run it, my view is centered on an oil/gas platform (and I don't get the bug). I edited the mission and spawned in a Su-33 but I couldn't reproduce this bug either this time.

Do you happen to have the client track, please?

Many thanks, @Amarok_73. Unfortunately, your track does not cause the flickering on my end, at least not today. I've  tried it four times already. I've just sent your video to devs because the bug keeps showing even though you switch to exernal view. It might help them figure out what's happening.

I'm getting this bug on a campaign mission : F16c - bear trap. mission : escort OCA on mozdok.

I tried this mission at least 7 times. 100% occurance on the black square. It happens with the last rays of sunlight, so with transition between a little light and total darkness . And after that I only see the inside of the cockpit (lower half, without a view outside). One time I was completely blinded and had to start over.

I tried switching from 4x SSAA to 0x SSAA , but no success.

hardware : 5950x / 5700xt / 64gigs / 2560x1080 no vr

Version dcs : DCS 2.7.15.25026 Open Beta

hope this helps for a solution.

Having the same issue in today's beta. For some unexpected reason it gets solved disabling mirrors.

Have got flickering in the last update, they've gone 97% after I deleted metamesh and fxo folders.

But now I have sometimes (very odd) flicker in the TPOD screen of the JF-17 and apache so far.

If the issue happens at the beginning of the track, it is interesting. If your track is too large, you can upload it to WeTransfer and share the link.

The texture flickering issue appears to have returned in the latest DCS version 2.7.15. 100% reproducible for me when flying the second mission from Mi-8: The Crew Part One Campaign. No texture flickering occurs at the beginning of the mission, but it starts right at the end of the mission when landing at the same spot the mission started. I remember the previous conclusion regarding this bug was that it had something to do with mirrors and the sun's position, and the mission takes place close to sunset. The sun changes position by the end of the mission. I disabled all mods, deleted fxo and metashaders, repaired my DCS installation, and I was still able to reproduce the issue. I hope this helps with resolving this bug. I recorded the issue happening with mods disabled. I can't reproduce this one. It seems there are at least two kinds of "black square" issues, because I never was able to reproduce this when its seen on the Tarawa deck with deck lights on.

Ok, but can you see the black square in my track? Or is that not visible either?

 

Machine running : latest Win11 / 5950x / 64gig / amd 5700XT / latest drivers cpu and gpu

(problem free machine in other games)

What I meant is:

I can reproduce the black square bug occasionally.

The track you posted does not trigger the bug on my PC.

Someone else posted a very similar track before, and it didn't trigger the bug on my PC either.

So it seems some black squares are kind of universal, and others are only affecting some users.

We've already sent several tracks to devs, but unfortunately the tracks don't always give the same results when played by one user.

I need a short track showing the issue at any time. SignorMagnifico's track is way too long, and I already know the Tarawa at night won't trigger the bug for me.

So if you can create a short track showing the issue right away, without using the Tarawa, that would be great.
