F-4 Phantom II ?

I was told by a friend that getting the F-16 has cost us getting the F-4 Phantom.

 

 

So I tried to search the forum for ANY mention of an F-4 with no luck. I don't know if I'm using the wrong search terms or if nothing exists.

 

 

Can anyone shed a little light on this subject?

The F-4E was in develop initially by Belsimtek but the develop has move to ED when BSK turn on a develop team into ED. The F-4E has moved a module after the F-16C Block 50, and actually has on "low profile" meanwhile the teams working on the Falcon.

That sure beats a flat-out NO! Hope we get a Fat leg (Navy/Marine) as well as a Skinny leg (Air Force) variant.

 

 

Nothing like the feeling when you're standing at the end of the runway and they "firewall" it and the burners kick in. That old J-79 would rattle your teeth!

And when were you allowed to know this information ? Who gave you authority to announce ED's priorities and insight to their schedule? How do you know the F4 is still on the schedule ? ;)

They're only doing the USAF -E variant.

We all still hope the F-4 is coming after the F-16. I have faith. I'd love to fly it.

While the F-4E is still planned, we have other modules in higher priority like the Hornet, Yak-52, Mi-24, F-16, and AH-1. Focus on the F-4E will come once we clear several of these projects.

 

So, I would not expect any F-4E news for quite some time.

I saw some teasers of an F-105 Wild Weasel variant a while back. I can't remember now the context or which dev was messing with it

I would prefer the smokey F-4B which was the most common variant in Vietnam, the F-4E is smokeless

I would literally take any variant at this point. I'm excited for the F-16, but really, really excited for the Phantom. It's such an icon and flew so many places for so long and has so much history. You really can't pick incorrectly with the Phantom. I just hope whatever it is, it's on schedule and high-quality in early access.
