I’d like a lasso to select multiple units and a copy / paste for copying to another mission file. Also the ability to copy triggers from one mission file to another, that would include also any units and trigger zones referenced on the selected triggers.

On a related subject, I’d like to be able to copy/paste goals from one mission to another.

What else? Let Static Templates include also trigger zones.

Rework the Unit Templates facility so that each Template gets stored on a differente file, like its done for the Static Templates. Also, allow Unit Templates to include not only units, but also static objects.

:)

Ps: also, on the mission select option of the main menu, for the selected mission show its first image illustration, like it is on the Campaigns, something like this:

More types of ground targets. A destructible dam/bridges would be nice, or other infrastructure/interdiction type targets for strike fighters.

Also changes to AI behavior, T55's shouldn't be shooting 105mm gun rounds at helos as a glaring example.

New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)

Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

Oh boy where do I start?

Mission Editor, the main 3 for me are as follows.

  • 3D editor - we did get accurate top-down sillhouettes for near enough every object in DCS which is such a big improvement on just having icons, the next big step is to go to a 3D editor. The 2D editor should be retained as a view that the user can switch to (kinda like Arma 3's Eden editor)
  • More control over the weather. Firstly of the weather itself - cloud layers, with the ability to define the cloud types and densities within said layers, with a level of control over the altitude ranges; precipitation type and severity, thunderstorm severity, maybe even humidity if applicable. Secondly the ability to define the weather for different areas around the map - so you set up the weather as normal, but then you have the ability to click on the grid squares you want it applied to, an apply to all feature would be desirable for players who don't wish to have the weather defined differently in different locations (obviously you'd need to have controls in place - there shouldn't be vastly different weather across the map and I'm not sure how transitions would achieved between grid squares). Finally a user definable weather timeline - you define the starting weather and then the user can add/edit 'intervals' where the weather becomes something else, so weather at start is XXXXX, after AAAAA hours the weather is YYYYYYY - facilitate this for multiple intervals - say no more than 3-4 and once the last interval is reached the weather just stays as it is.
  • Different shapes for trigger zones, so not just circular, but also polygons where you can alter the position of each vertex.

For assets there's a heck of a lot that could be added which entails a lot of work

  • Upgrade all current assets to the same standard - there seems to be a disparity of quality between the assets
  • More static objects for building FARPs and FOBs - HESCO & Bremer walls (best to make several variants - e.g different lengths, corner pieces, corridors etc for HESCOs there are practically endless combinations allowing you to build structures like bunkers and watchtowers. The list goes on - different tents (open & closed) with different variants for different nations as applicable; camo nets etc.

  • Upgrade all current assets to the same standard - it is coming slowly but I think this is something important as there is quite a lot of disparity between units.
  • More static objects for building FOBs/FARPs and other bases/outposts. Just off the top of my head things like barriers, fences and walls, including things like HESCO and Bremer/T-Walls, these should ideally be made in many variants, and sizes (e.g corner pieces etc (with HESCO you can even have low-tech structures such as watchtowers and bunkers, it would be really great to get a comprehensive list of assets, the bare minimum should be single element, at least 3 different lengths with at least 2 different cross sections, as well as left-hand and right-hand corners); sandbags (again the list of possible variants is near-endless), different tents (sizes, configurations and liveries) some other structures such as soft-skinned hangars, smaller communications masts etc - a complete list would demand it's own thread.
  • Environmental assets: Trees (as singles and in say groups of at least 3 sizes), bushes (again, be sure to add variety), rocks, mounds, levees, grass ramparts etc.
  • More pillboxes and bunkers, there are countless historical and national examples to choose from, maybe something for the asset pack. Not just pillboxes, but also bunkers as well.
  • Strafing targets, I know there is a fantastic mod, it just needs to be made stock.
  • More surveillance and EW radars, especially for western units, there are tonnes of examples of both static, mobile and semi-mobile examples.
  • More support and combat engineering vehicles: the list is vast, bridgelayers, transporters, missile transloaders, mobile cranes, dedicated ammunition transporters for SAM sites, there's a huge list if you want something comprehensive.
