Im having a issue using TOO mode on the F18 Harm with the Open Beta. I see the emitters on the TOO mode page and I have the diamond on the top right of that page.

I can change which emitter that i want to target, however i'll hit the cage/uncage button a dozen times before it will hand off. Once the handoff happens i can destroy the emitter.

Most cases im less than 15 miles away and about 4k to 6k altitude. I even have issues at 20K.

I'm sure im doing something wrong but not sure what it is. Any help is appreciated.

Do you have uncage function assigned to your joystick? It seems that sometimes uncage button needs to be held for a moment, and joystick mapping programs release it too soon.

I want to confirm that the joystick keypress was too fast. Added a 500ms delay between press and release.

Works fine now.

No, I have tested it today but I can't add the delay so I tested it by using the keyboard command C and it did not seem to work either. This is the order in which I do things:

  1. master mode to Air to Ground
  2. master mode on
  3. select HARM
  4. select TOO mode
  5. select using the RAID/FLIR/FOV switch I can move between different transmitters
  6. select Cage/uncage with the button on my throttle or C on the keyboard
  7. and fire the missile.

But nothing happens, how do I know if the information was downloaded to the missile?

Apparently you have missed a step :

betwin 5. and 6. you have to put the focus on the DDI where your HARM page (in TOO mode) is displayed.

This is done by using "sensor left" key or "sensor right" key .

In other words, you have to put the DDI of the HARM page --> "Sensor of Interest (SOI)" !

And then the uncage of the Harm Missile will work !

Then you can shoot it !

I know what you are referring too so let me double check, I think I did that. the reason I am saying this is that the Raid/Flir switch works fine, so my focus must be on the correct DDI

Thanks

The raid will work regardless of you selecting the DDI (not sure if it's suppose to), the uncage button on the other hand will not

I have the same problem, pressing either the cage/uncage button (mapped on my Warthog throttle) or the "C" button will not "handoff" the HARM.

The RAID/FLIR switch is working fine as i am able to switch between the different emitters.

I really can't see what i'm doing wrong with the HARM in TOO mode ??...

The cage/uncage button is working fine when used with the Mavericks or with the Sparrows to cycle the "Loft" mode.

Same as said a few post above :

You have to put the screen of the HARM page --> "Sensor of Interest (SOI)" !

And then the "uncageing" of the Harm Missile will work !

This is done by using "sensor left" key or "sensor right" key

I can confirm that Realis was correct, I did not have the correct DDI selected. I now do the hand-off no problem. So I made a mission and set it to unlimted weapons so I can practice more than 4 times. Bit is did not work. Set the main config to unlimted weapons and still it was not unlimited.

Well here's a good one.

I had this same issue - the "c" not working to uncage.

Believe me, I've done everything right.

Added an extra bind: Shift+c and ...... everything works fine.

C pops up in the command list (key press or joystick press). Just doesn't work in game.

The only thing for me is that I'm currently running a hybrid system of Wathog throttle and x56 stick (don't ask, pictures to come if and when I don't get support fgrom Logitech) so there could be some kind of ghost conflict.

I'm getting the same issue.

Using the training mission for HARM TOO

Checked and tried different keybinds.

HARM page selected as SOI. Can change targets normally. Cannot hand-off target to HARM.

SP mode works fine.

Edit:- Did some more testing. It works fine if starting cold. Appears to be an issue if starting hot or in the air.
