Yeniceri
Some draw arguments that works for AI are not working for player aircrafts. borchi_2b
ok good to know, yeniceri, will work more then one animation on one argument? so when i close the canopy, that the pilots will close thier glass from the helmet? greetings sven http://www.polychop-sims.com
muehle007
More than one animation will work fine. An example: I've animated the tail and main rotors of a heli rotating. At time frame 0 the blades get invisible and a blurred texture is shown, like that one from the original lomac aircrafts. The rotors remain in rotation. PS: Off course you have to use the same argument no. for all animations that should be shown at the same effect. borchi_2b
new update from the blackbird project: well sorry for spelling mistakes, i am not awacke alot anymore, cause now it is 05:11am and i am going to bed now. well i had to built a complete new ejectionseat from just a bit of picture material which wasn´t the best too, cause most of the times the pilots were in the way :-) not much is missing now in the cockpit. then i will finish the nozzles and finaly i will get to the gear. @muehle: thanks for the information :-) here we go with a picture 2 http://www.polychop-sims.com

borchi_2b
ok guys, got the cockpit fixed so far, i have all together now about 10000 polys for the whole model. gears and nozzle are still missing plus 2 blackbird pilots. here we go with the newest picture. i guess i will do the rest of the cockpit details with the appropriate skins so i can save polys and have enough for the pilots and the gear. what do you think, i would appreciate some professional answers, also from you yeniceri :-) http://www.polychop-sims.com
Deadman
Doing th two seat version is very unusual at the airbase i was stationed st they had two of the single seat versions here are some pictures of the seats http://www.ejectionsite.com/frame_sg.htm under Lockheed SR-1 SR-71, YF-12A, and A-12 Blackbird, U2R, TR-1, ER-1, NASA Shuttle OV-1, NASA Shuttle OV-2 Hope this helps https://www.shapeways.com/shops/a-10c-warthog-supplies https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans. borchi_2b
lol, the side where i have uploaded all the pictures is down, so all the nice pics of this project are gone in the nirvana. well, at least i have saved them all to my comp, hehe. do you know a diffrent uploadpage, were they stay more then just a day ? @deaman: jup it will help alot, well unfortunatly most of the seat is cover by the pilot, but i which i would have had the pics earlier:-) lol again, well it is maybe not down? i have no clue :-) http://www.polychop-sims.com

nesher
Doing th two seat version is very unusual at the airbase i was stationed st they had two of the single seat versions No single seat version of the Blackbird exists, only the SR-71B has two seperate pilot seats for training opportunities (the the trainer sits above the student). But the SR-71A variant has two seats either, but for two crew operation (they sit behind each other). check it out... SR-71A SR-71B
Deadman
Sorry mad only been out 20 years and only got to sit in the front seat nice place to hide. borchi_2b
well well, i am wondering if it is possible to model such a nice parachute, cause the blackbird does not have any flaps like the f-15 that might slow it down on the ground. has anyone ever modelled a parachute for lockon and knows how to animate it, the two small flaps of the chutebox are allready modelled. ??? http://www.polychop-sims.com

Yeniceri
does anybody know how i can get the 3dmax 9 files into 3dmax 8 ? cause i have built the blackbird with the max 9 so far I had the same problem.. Try exporting it as 3ds.. then import to max8.. but let me warn you.. some times it makes weird things to 3ds file... borchi_2b
@warthogmadman987: yes that is true, i forgot about it, lol, must have burned into my memory :-) maybe somewhere in my brain there is data, that tells me exactly what the bird locks like and that i used it, lmao. which is could visit it some day in the near future again, but well, some day it will happen:-) @yeniceri: thanks, i will see what max will do to this file, i hope it will export and import it how it is supposed to be :-) http://www.polychop-sims.com
