With the upcoming F-16, it has been mentioned by ED in various forum places that certain members of the Hornet team have moved on to work on the model and visual artwork for the F-16.

Is there someone still working on the visuals and artwork for the Hornet? Specifically, in regards to improving the mirrors, correcting the helmet and pilot body(still an air force pilot), adding additional skins(CAG birds, etc), and correcting errors in current skins.

How dare you! Don’t you know.....

Please imagine this sentence was me getting outraged on someone else’s behalf.

Apparently it’s all the rage since social media

Anyhoo I’ve no idea I’ve just got back from the pub, but I do know it’s fine to ask questions and people should communicate online as they would in real life. Where being rude has consequences.

some of the replies in your last thread annoyed me, and I think once you’ve parted with your hard earned cash you have the right to politely ask reasonable questions.

I sure hope they're at least working on the pilot 3D model and helmet...

Better pilot animation would be nice; similar to the F14's pilot movement.

there are still holes in the cockpit model through which lights glows inside

and the shadows with sun behind you are still broken, still missing geometry and light going through the seat and ddi recorders

It's also been said that the parallel work on the F-16 does not affect the F/A-18 WIP. Can you guys give it a rest for once in your life and just patiently wait for ED to do there thing??? This day and age of entitlement is just insane :huh::huh:

Afterburner glow is also reflected in the cockpit and on the DDIs because of that.

Plus, the DDI and AMPCD material doesn't look and reflect like glass or plexiglass at all. Or the plexiglass on the UFC. Or the glass on the gauges. In general, none of the glass or plexiglass surfaces act like they're supposed to. They should be more glossy and reflective. Right now, they're using pre-baked reflections...

I started off of a mod (that removes the pre-baked reflections, among other things) and increased the reflectivity of most of these parts by myself by editing the Roughmet textures, but because of the afterburner internal glow and other issues with the reflectivity of the DDIs, the latter are a no go.

Last but not least regarding the DDIs, the data is drawn on the glass/plexiglass cover and not on the actual display itself. I think this last one has been reported a while ago as well.

I like the way you are using your words to say what isn't allowed to be said anymore. :D
