Hum, made some tests, everything on 0 except CBU fix, and I see some changes at the background on mountains, and mod letters on HMD are not really readable.

I have tried this mod (Thanks a lot!!) and I noticed that the labels, yes are ocluded but only with the cockpit frame interior. The external fuselaje-wings seen from inside will allow the labels to be seen through. This was tested yesterday with the P51D, is there anything I can do to oclude also behind the fuselage?

It seems you activate also flat shadow removal. Can you try without it ? Can you put a track also ? (not with the F16, I do not have it).

Here is with flat shadow to off (accoring to file ?)

 

edit : I removed all others mods, and regenerated shaders. It's the same 😞 I joined a F18 track

You are right, I use the in game mechanism to get cockpit area. You may see also in UH1 that labels can be seen through the  passager room walls, because this is not cockpit. The problem is aircraft parts may be seen as objects, so color filter and sharpening won't be applyed only to cockpit if I extend the area...I'll have another look when I'll have the time.

Thanks! would be awesome to be hidden by the rest of the fuselage. With warbirds this is important as wings and front body is very well seen. Specially in dogfights where the target is below the nose to be hit.

Ok.. I found 2 bugs. One in the Gazelle and one on the Apache. It is related the reflection removal. If I don't remove it, then the glass of the gazelle appears as this:

if it is removed then is ok... BUT if I remove the reflections (that will make all the rest of reflections to be removed, so no good for me) then the HandGrip of the TADS of the CP/G appears without labels:

because those labels have to be mapped with a reflectivity channel in their texture, I guess.

So If I have to choose, I would fix the gazelle issue... I suppose.

version 15.1 for 2.7.10.19473 Stable and 2.7.11.21408.1 Open beta  available in first post.

  • fix for haze reduction in MSAA2x and MSAA4x
  • fix for gazelle and AH64 reflexion
  • labels now hidden by airframe
  • remove 1 shader in fps fix to maintain crater

the fix for the apache is working. Thanks!

but the Gazelle fix not. This is not produced in all the gazelle windshields. The one you can test it, is with the Tutorial Weapon first one.

arghh. There are a lot of shaders used for the Gazelle, its seems so strange not having only 1 shader for all glass rendering...

@lefuneste01Thank you again for all of your work on this.  I've been using the various versions of this for a long time.

 

I'm currently using the beta version you released for OpenXR.  Can I integrate the latest version with the OpenXR compatible one by replacing the files?  Adding the loader section to the d3dx.ini of course.

*EDIT* Seems to work just fine.  From what I could see the changes were to the D3DX.INI, which needs to have the loader section added to it, and several of the shaders were rebuilt with a 4/1/22 date.  Replacing the v15.0 files with all of those and the OpenXR version still appears to do what it should.

I can not reproduce. Be sure to have cleaned the old version of the mod, especially shaderfixes directoy.

it really depends of the context. In some cases (dawn,...) shadows may saturate your GPU (even a 3080Ti). But mostly not.

I finally managed to create a Target profile for the AH64 (I created special modes for TSD, TADS, IHADSS, otherwise it will not be possible to handle tracking mode for TADS and all FCR options). It took me hours to write it, but finally  I managed to fly a bit the AH64.

So I improved the rotor fix to hide only the one of your own ship and I found a way to hide the infamous TADS mirror in the IHADSS. But it will be another key binding to setup...I need to polish the v15.2, maybe I'll release it for next week end.
