Shahdoh Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 If you want/need to go super cheap, a friend of mine made a stand out of 2x4's and weighted the base. Sounds flimsy but it worked out remarkably well.
Ala12Rv-Tundra Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 According to your profile, you are German, so Monstertech is the way to go. i5 8400 | 32 Gb RAM | RTX 2080Ti | Virpil Mongoose T-50 base w/ Warthog & Hornet sticks | Warthog throttle | Cougar throttle USB | Orion 2 throttle base w/ Viper & Hornet grips| VKB T-Rudder Mk IV | Oculus Rift S | Buddy-Fox A-10 UFC | 2x TM MFDs & 1x WW DDI | 2x Bass shakers | SIMple SIMpit chair | WW TakeOff panel | Andre JetSeat | WW Hornet UFC | WW Viper ICP FC3 - Warthog - F-5E - Harrier - NTTR - Hornet - Tomcat - Huey - Viper - C-101 - PG - Hip - SuperCarrier - Syria - Warthog II - Hind - South Atlantic - Sinai - Strike Eagle - Phantom - Mirage F1 - Afghanistan - Irak
Canadus Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 (edited) According to your profile, you are German, so Monstertech is the way to go. As I have to make the same decission soon, I can already tell you; 2 desk mounts (left & right) plus 2 mounts for the Cougar MFDs, plus some monstertech cable management stuff & we‘re talking about ~400€. :music_whistling: That‘s the only issue I have with the fantastic, german engineered stuff from monstertech. :D Have to go down that road myself... Two options then , going the Virpil way which would be slighter cheaper, or getting yourself aluminium profiles 8020 for a DIY experience which may end up with a similar pricetag of Monstertech´s. I bought a Virpil mount which Im very happy about, holding my joy and 3 MFDs + UFC. Then Im lucky enough to get aluminium sheet at work, with tools and stuff and was able to build a mount for the throttle similar to Monstertech. i5 8400 | 32 Gb RAM | RTX 2080Ti | Virpil Mongoose T-50 base w/ Warthog & Hornet sticks | Warthog throttle | Cougar throttle USB | Orion 2 throttle base w/ Viper & Hornet grips| VKB T-Rudder Mk IV | Oculus Rift S | Buddy-Fox A-10 UFC | 2x TM MFDs & 1x WW DDI | 2x Bass shakers | SIMple SIMpit chair | WW TakeOff panel | Andre JetSeat | WW Hornet UFC | WW Viper ICP FC3 - Warthog - F-5E - Harrier - NTTR - Hornet - Tomcat - Huey - Viper - C-101 - PG - Hip - SuperCarrier - Syria - Warthog II - Hind - South Atlantic - Sinai - Strike Eagle - Phantom - Mirage F1 - Afghanistan - Irak
Harlikwin Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 The best solution for me was this: https://www.monstertech.de/en/product/joystick-hotas-table-mount/ (And I am very happy with it) This. I have different sticks and throttles on different mounts so I can mix/match to best suit the aircraft. I use foxx mounts which are cheaper if you are in the US. New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1) Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).
Canadus Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 As soon as Virpil restocks I would buy at their place. WarBRD-Base would be great. Currently only thing that is out of stock would be the Plate to attach the WarBRD to their Desk-clamps. Monstertech would be my 2nd Option, due to price. LeCuvier Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 I use the Monstertech mounts for my (very heavy) TM WH throttle and VIRPIL jostick base (with TMWH grip). They are extremely solid and it takes only seconds to take them off or put them back in place.. Emmy Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 +1 for MonsterTech. Really happy with their supports for TMW Stick and Throttle. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://www.476vfightergroup.com/content.php High Quality Aviation Photography For Personal Enjoyment And Editorial Use. www.crosswindimages.com
