Might be related to the known issues comment in the update:

Trees shadows quality is degraded

The trees really look a lot worse than on 2.4 as before. I noted in the last stable patch notes the shadow problem was mentioned by ED. Hopefully the trees get's restored back to how they was.

Similar for PG map - trees and bushes from altitude look like planted in a uniform pattern.

I turned off, flat shadows, and the problem went away. (Stable).

But that doesn't solve the problem. It would be nice if we heard an answer from ED and when they are going to fix this defect.

So the workaround is to use flat shadows? is that right?
