PeterP Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 One of those things I'm sure would have been that much cooler to see in real life: After I saw this the first time -I was really worried if the KC-10 has enough fuel on-board to return save to the airport and not becoming a glider . (or maybe he had helium in his tanks...)

monotwix Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 To this day I don’t know why the spoilerons open up during the take offs. If you are not prepared to die, don’t worry just look out of the window and see. Insomnia treatment for free. I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.
aaron886 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Roll control. Spoilerons are more effective at slow speeds. The fact that that spoileron was up for the whole roll says he had considerable aileron input in there. Must have been a solid crosswind. Nasty conditions. Bet the pilots were having a blast.
