Eddie Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Time for a few more of mine. Mostly from my last tour in Afghanistan 2007/2008. Hope you like them. Harrier GR.9 on G-CAS standby at Kandahar Airbase, Afghanistan RAF C-130J about to cross the threshold at Kandahar RAF C-130H & J on the RAF Herc pan at Kandahar. US Predator on final at Kandahar. What I think is the best pic I took during the whole tour. An RAF Chinook, carrying a British Army Lynx, Escorted by a British Army WAH-64 with the Kandahar Flight line in the background and airfield in the foreground. It's a bit blurry due to the low light but I think that add to atmosphere. And to finish off, an example of the view out of my bedroom window :D I'll try and upload some more Typhoon pics tomorrow. 2

L4key Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Nice one Eddie, might not be as pretty but the GR4 looks mighty fine.
Eddie Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Ok, to finish off, here are some of my favourites that I've collected from friends/the big wide internet. Oh, and it's been far too long since we had a viper.
Namenlos Ein Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 (edited) http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/8377904.stm http://www.deccanherald.com/content/37818/president-patil-makes-history-calls.html Indian President Pratibha Patil has flown in a fighter jet, becoming the country's first woman to fly in a combat plane. Mrs Patil, 74, described her 30-minute flight in a two-seater Sukhoi jet as "a wonderful and unique experience". Looks like an established tradition for 74-year-old Indian Presidents. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/5060616.stm The 74-year-old Indian President, APJ Kalam, has taken to the skies in a fighter jet, officials say. Lucas_From_Hell Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 2009.11.23 - Sukhoi Launches Production of Su-35 for Russia Good news. Interesting part is that they mention the Su-35S. I was thinking we were talking about the BM. What's the difference (if there is any) between these two?
eurofor Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Some great pics of the Typhoon there. Thanks for sharing! 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Spieler07 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 The only difference between these two only the letters. S - means "serial". But i can't say for sure as there is no open information about it.

59th_LeFty Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 (edited) Countryside news :) In 25th Nov. 2009, Hungarian Air Force has retired its only jet trainer aircraft type, the L-39ZO Albatros after 15 years of service, with a total of 13000 flight hours. Sadly, no replacement occured yet, the Air Force hired flight hours in an L-159 of the Czech Aero Vodochody - maybe later plans for buying L-159 two-seaters. MiGs and Gripens patroling the skies now, as the only remained JETs. Good bye, 'Alba'! Hope we see you in new coats, having much-much fun maybe in some civilian aerobatic teams :) Last flight (Copyright 'LegieroBlogger' aka Zord): Edited November 26, 2009 by 59th_LeFty 1 [sIGPIC]http://www.forum.lockon.ru/signaturepics/sigpic5279_1.gif[/sIGPIC] I could shot down a Kitchen :smartass:
