  • ED Team
Hi! Wags said they started in October of 2018, and started Systems this past April :) https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4038656&postcount=12

The art started about one year ago, but the systems did not really start until April of this year.

Thanks

Too long...my whole life really...the wait is now over. We will finally be able to fly the mighty F-16 in DCS! Thank you ED!!!

seems like you guys have this down to a science. really impressive

What ED has been doing is really impressive. They continue to raise the bar. Keep up the amazing work!

Other modules od that complexity level needed much longer time in the past. Seems like the Viper is really taking advantage from the Hornet dev process.

Yeah, the F-4E won't be able to do the same I'm afraid.

Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

ED might've learned better coding, research, process and timetable/resource management which might help the Phantom move along faster than it would've otherwise. Perhaps ED now has an efficient model for starting, developing, and completing modules.

Also, just like with the Viper is possible some preliminary aspects of the Phantom are in early development. If the Phantom comes out within a year then we will know. I for one don't mind if they work on the Phantom at the same time as the Hornet/Viper systems. Everyone wants to fly their bird so I can relate.

The Phantom has actually been pretty far in development (apparently much further than the Viper untill the beginning of this year) before it got put on ice for work on the Hornet and Viper:

That's looking good, end of the year teaser possible? Perhaps, just a little longer Phantom heads!

Nah, the Phantom got pushed back quite a bit. I don't expect a release before 2021 after the Hind :(
