Dropping BK-90's on a target has to be one of the most satisfying things short of punching the first whole in a new coffee jar seal. I love the cold war old school cockpit and it's old computer. The Viggen was so far ahead of it's time I find it unbelievable when you look at what was around in those days. You have to put a bit of time into learning how to set weapons up but it is so rewarding when you get it right. I love it and if anyone is considering it, you simply have to get it. That said, this plane is still my most favorite because it appears they thought about everything to make the pilot's workload as easy as possible while keeping the aircraft capable as hell. While the AJS upgrade did bring some new functions and weapons, all the basic stuff that made the Viggen to be so far ahead of time was already in the basic variant (e.g. the CK-37 digital computer, the HUD, the NAV system, the autopilot, ...). Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Yep, the CK-37 was incredible for it's time. The book I got was published in 1985. I know. That's why I said "the REALLY advanced stuff". I just wanted to make sure he doesn't consider stuff like TERNAV to be part of a late 60s plane. The stuff you listed...pretty advanced for 1967...stuff like TERNAV...not possible without alien tech...but then again this beauty of a plane, as I said, obviously does half of the pilot's job when others still needed a crew of two... :-)

I have many DCS modules and still looking to find my place but I think that the Viggen will have my heart for a while. Can't wait for it to be polished by the end of this year and finally be out of EA with hopefully most bugs sorted out.

Even if it pretty hard on many servers with so many high tech airplanes. if Heatblur could fix the Mobile Ground Crew. So we could order them around the map somehow in multiplayer it would be so awsome. Just think the mobile ground crew makes the viggen so special. Its just sad that we cant use it like we should on multiplayer servers..
