SaladParty Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 So I'm a little confused about how to join datalink originating from the AWACS (E-2), I've been able to connect F2F, but never received intel from AWACS. Any help would be awesome, thanks guys.
Finnsky Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 I think Deka stated somewhere that the DL only works between JF-17s for now and not with AWACS. Something with the api or some other stuff that I don’t understand:D

Nothing more to do? • Com 2 set to Channel 199 • Player as Master (rather than Slave) • MFCD CLNK page NET = ON 5 - 15 secs later the HSD will start updating with AWACS contacts, etc. Tested as Blufor (USA) with a E-3 AWACS in single player. SaladParty Posted December 6, 2019 Author Posted December 6, 2019 Yeah, tested E-2, E-3 in SP from hot/cold starts, I was able to get it to work, no issues. Now in MP the datalink doesn't seem to be working.

Its hard to have fun in the middle of flight after quite involving ramp start then ended up CTD. I wish we had update this Wednesday but unfortunately highly unlikely. UV-link protocol conflict with AWACS voice. We finished coding, but the conflict will cause CTD, we have to disable it. we need do more research to make it work. Edited March 28, 2020 by L0op8ack

At the beginning I would like to mention that I fly mainly for outdated and forgotten by devs, REDFOR side, where fighting against modern BLUEFOR fly-by-wire Fxx's requires special tactics and ideas. Tactics of BLUEFOR with theirs ARH missiles is simple as hummer building. Therefore I have bought JF-17 for redfor, to have good modern complex plane with good ARH missiles to fight mainly against Fxx planes. Unfortunately I have discovered that DATALINK for REDFOR does not work and one year passed and we still do not have working datalink for REDFOR side. If it would happen for bluefor I would not be angry. Any informations when it will be fixed? BLUEFOR planes still have advantage over RED ... even in datalink ... because for bluefor datalink is working for red it is not. One year passed and still nothing I have tested datalink today once again for red and blue. Blue it is ok Red it is not ok. Why the BLUEFOR has always advantage over RED?
