[REPORTED]Ground objects vanish at close range

Hi.

 

Right after the latest update: ground objects such as Scuds, destroyed units, static objects, stop showing at 500-600m or so distance. Can't show debriefing. Game crashes when trying to acces encyclopedia. Game gets stuck on exit if mission editor is accesed.

 

Pics show what i mean. Noticed on a bombing practice mission around Tonopah.

 

Any help?

Yes, it looks like many models have broken LODs: WWII armor, SA2, Patriot, other random ground units, too many to list.

Same here, this has been driving me mad. Thought it was something in my config (I lost my old one during the 2.5.6 update). I can place a M1A2 tank next to a roadblock and the roadblock vanishes after just a few hundred meters.

 

Good thing it's not just a thing on my end, bad thing is that it's just not a thing on my end.

Major render-distance issue!

 

"Preload Radius" set to 125000.... (near max value) this happened... (happened several times already on BlueFlag PvP server, it's present everywhere afaik)

I'm having the opposite issue in VR that ground units aren't rendering until I'm right ontop of them.

that's not the OPPOSITE.... the opposite would be that you ALWAYS see them until you get real close, and then would vanish. SOOOoooo, you have exact same, check my video above...

Can confirm, very frustrating, I saw the objective with my A10 TGP, but when I wanted to run with my guns, 3 miles away I could not see them and suddenly POP.

We (BlueFlag) rolled back, let's hope ED testers this time find such big flaws before letting us run into them :P

Active objects too. For us groundpounders, the sim is pretty much broken in its current state. Kind of losing my patience by now, it has to be said.

Ditto for me! All my custom mission where I'm suppose to destroy something are screwed up because I can't find the target till I'm zoomed way in.
