just for play in SP and not having to unplug the internet cable every time. This is a totally disaster.

 

Technically, clicking the antenna icon on the bar should be enough, as per instructions...

Yup, same here. Maybe switching these modes got broken as well...

Art-J, I suspect he's referring to users/username/local/temp. Just Type "%TEMP%" into the search on your taskbar and it'll bring it up. Sadly, this didn't solve the problem for me. Still very slow to load and shut down, and its hit and miss as to whether the MP server list will populate.

I have the same issue with DCS hanging after quitting a mission. Switching to offline mode seems to fix it.

What works for me:

 

1. Log-out from game by clicking the icon at the top (the door with arrow, not the antenna).

2. When starting the game do not login, just press cancel on the credentials screen

3. the game will start in offline mode and continue to be usable for 3 days

They do need to fix their servers though. The game is calling home very often and with current "download all modules" frenzy, servers just don't seem to cope, causing issues with the game itself.

Bought new hardware and fiddled around the whole weekend because I thought the new hardware was the issue. Finally found this thread. DCS at its best...

I'ts much better now, problem is virtually gone. Still, it should time out much quicker or don't call home at all imo.

We had problems with our master server, those issues are resolved

Hello,

for me, the problem often occurs (but not all the time) when I do the following manipulations:

In multiplayer, I join the server. When the window to choose the role appears, I switch to another application with ALT + TAB

and more way to return to the game: the logo appears as if it were in the foreground and the game on background but never visible.

 

The problem also happens when an application launches sometimes in the background (example SRS when starting the game)
