Future of online pilots

Salut camarades ....

 

For who dont saw my last post ... right now im defeniltely joining with all

enthusiasm of an new pilot in the lomac virtual skies with right pc parts and trying forget the ecm blikking suff .But here if possible i would to hear from the old online pilots what re their view of lomac online today and what they expect to the future like :

 

1-The online pilots still active in an good number today ?

2-The old pilots still with same enthusiasm ?

3-All you guys still to believe that improviments with pachts or mods re a close reality ?... can we really wait improviments cause alot people working on it now?

 

as a lomac fan i really will aprecciate ur informations guys ...so i will have a complet idea where im joining and also ( inside the possibilities ) work to make our comunity better . :)

1. No, not like it used to be. But enough to fly with, sometimes. It depends on time of day.

1) Most activities still take place within squadron activities (-> join a squadron!)

 

2) Some are - some not. For me and my squad I can say much of the enthusiasm of the "old" pilots/staff members is taken away from flying only. We invest much time in improving our trainee-program, creating charts of high quality, skinning, etc. So we work more than we fly to improve the simulation experience for our members and the community. This is not so bad as a lot of this growing squadron-infra-structure can be used flying other sims in the future too (i.e. DCS (if they come up with fighters! ;) ), Fighter OPS, ...).

 

3) The amount and quality of improvements to LOFC are for sure limited by the game itself BUT there's always something that can be done to improve the experience as a whole by some %. Finally we have no choice. We'll have to live with what we have until there will be something new (and better of course!).

Sadly....no to all your questions.

 

Seems to me most 'old timers' including our squad are awaiting DCS: BS or perhaps even DCS: 'insert fast jet here'.

 

There are many reasons why this is so...before even DCS:BS was announced, but im watching football now and its a contentious subject:music_whistling:

The game had flaws but the people attitudes contributed for ruining it some more. Ironicaly some of those arent flying as much anymore either.

I would say any sim that costs 50 euro or less for both lomac and fc is understandably far from perfect. The people that constantly whine about stuff seem oblivious to that!

 

Personally I like all flying sims but I realize that however sophisticated they may appear are still games in the end. They are extremely helpful in giving people a good theoretical background while practicising unlimited hours but in the end nothing can replace a sophisticated multi-million dollar airline/air force simulator or flying for real. Basic common sense!

They are extremely helpful in giving people a good theoretical background while practicising unlimited hours but in the end nothing can replace a sophisticated multi-million dollar airline/air force simulator or flying for real. I could say more .... even the multi-million dollar air line /air force simulator still away from the reality ....like everyone know we havent computers that can read all air moviments yet and even if it cost 50 bucks only everyone should buy a multi-million pc to play it .

1, No. alot of people I knew from 1.02 days have simply vanished from HL, never see servers with 20+ in anymore.

 

2, No. The exploiting has got out of hand and I no longer enjoy playing online, haven't played online for a while now.

 

3, I think we got more hope of seeing FO than a 1.13 patch.

Yes, even more than last years. In my opinion every year it grows more, just some of old pilots quit.

Maybe not like Falcon series but Lomac has own legend. Not many people creating mods but anyway it's enough to make others happy.

Well not much Known but i will give my 2 cents

 

1. More and more younger pilots online < as young as 7 >

 

2. The aerobatic community is Growing bigger

 

3. If any more good mods come out, i will need a bigger hard drive

Hmm, I remember time when GOYA, PILOTASSO, BREAKSHOT, Mustang, 169Ice....., were still online, some of them take first places on server stats. Now, I see that old "aces" is flying not so often but you can still see that they have a lot of experiences and when they are going to fly, they do it best.

 

I hope next patch will attract some of them for few duels :) I love this community and here is still place for newcommers (i see it in SVK_Squad) and its normal that somebody would like to leave and be retired.

I miss the 504 server stats the most. Those guys had it done right and was always fun to see how pilots were progressing. I remember being fourth on that list after Breakshot,Pilotasso, and SVK? before stopping for exams. If you have a saved HTML id be interested:book:

Thx for the support, I did reduce my presence online because now I work, and my life got alot more complicated.

 

Remenber, "No money, no car, no Wife, no Job, NO PROBLEMS?" moto I had? Except for the wife part it doesnt hold true anymore. :)

There was always maddogging dude.

Ever since the beginning, maddogging was in fact the best way to launch AMRAAMs - in 1.00, the only way for the AMRAAM to follow PN instead of pure was to maddog it.

And since then, the policy on actives has often been 'see dot, point at dot, maddog at dot, split-S and leave'.
