My bomblets hit, but T-XX tanks are immune.

Should fuse be MFUSE PRImary or VT variable time?

I dropped 8 CBU-99 from about 14K. Canisters split , bomblets caused cool fireworks, and all tanks survived despite being within the beaten zone of submunitions.

Cbu-99 damage is poor right now. Will only really work vs light skinned vehicles. But the only effective settings are these: VT release, height set to 1500. Dive at 30 degrees and release then at around 2500 ft

If it is a column, it is good to use release in pairs with interval 50-75ft. Also i prefer to dive at 25 and release a bit higher, around 3000-3500 ft

yikes and thats not avail on F18 right

so when comes to take multiple armored vehicle there is no recommendation'? only can take out single target example using bombs? how about AGM154A?

i believe the AGM-154A is same problem and same bomblets. AGM-154C will kill pretty much anything. And you get 8 of them.

And of course its highly realistic to use 154C's against low value targets like tanks...:music_whistling:

Mavericks or Laser guided bombs are your best choice in the Hornet.

Only CBU's working vs armored vehicles are CBU97 and CBU 105.

This just isn't true. I use the Rockeye on the F/A-18 all the time versus T-90/M-1/Challengers. Now granted you very well might need two shots to fullly kill a MBT with the Rockeye but it works just fine against MBTs. Anything below a MBT in armor I kill with a single Rockeye. If there aren't any SAM/MANPAD defenses to worry about in the target area the Rockeye becomes my go-to weapon to clear an airbase. If there are I clear those with Mav F prior to getting my feet wet over the base.

Mk20 = CBU 99

The difference is one is thermal coated and one isnt

Absolute not true, why you guys not going to test properly the thing your want to discuse before you do so?

Because if you did that, you could notice how big difference is between these two (CBU-99 and Mk-20 by effect on target (believe me, its big).

I have done test with whole range of RU made vehicles present in DCS. Some of my friends didnt belive me, but when I teach them how to do it right, they were amazed, how Mk-20 could be leathal. Sure, it is not wind corrected munition, but if no SHORAD presented, you will leave columns of armoured vehicles in flames.

One thing about these two CBU we are now waiting to be fixed are incorrect fuze types and store page settings, this was presented by ED as temporary solution untill they will have time to fix it ... I hope will be soon.

If you would like to se my track... will attach it this weekend.

I'm talking about irl. CBU-99 and mk-20 are identical. They both release 247 MK 118 MOD 0 bomblets. CBU-99 uses a variant of the rockeye dispenser called SUU-75()/B, with the difference being the newer suu75 has thermal protection whereas the older rockeye does not.

http://www.designation-systems.net/usmilav/asetds/u-s.html#_SUU75

Considering they both use the same number and same type of bomblets and the dispensers are near identical, it would be safe to say any difference you may have observed is either placebo or a bug.
