sirrah Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Is it possible to switch off the LSO grade message somehow? JayBird Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Can I ask why you don't want to see them? For AI, understandable, but why not your own? sirrah Posted June 15, 2020 Author Posted June 15, 2020 Can I ask why you don't want to see them? For AI, understandable, but why not your own? Too confronting :P Nah :smilewink: It's mainly because I'm not fond of all the text messages while flying in VR. I'd rather reduce them to a minimum and have my view as realistic as possible. I know it's still needed for radio commands etc. But when I'm in the heat of battle, I'm surely not interested in one of the AI's doing a 1 wire So if I could at least turn off the AI messages System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH

sirrah Posted June 16, 2020 Author Posted June 16, 2020 Do you have subtitles turned off already? I used to... had to reinstall a while ago, so maybe I forgot to switch it on again.. :P will check next DCS session System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH
Nealius Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 Subtitles on/off don't matter. The grading messages are a bit of an immersion breaker, especially for filming.
draconus Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 Subtitles on/off don't matter. If these are set in options > audio I have them set to off too. I think it's a problem that mission triggered messages don't respect the setting. It affects only ATC and radio messages. donkeyrider Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 I wish I could turn them off, but only because I keep getting cut passes :(
BeerNfrites Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 Sorry to necro this thread, but was there ever any change or outcome? I'm in a similar position, using VR, not even launching or landing at a carrier and I'm getting the LSO grade line of text appear in my line of sight whilst flying.
