The AI BTR-80 does not engage M113, although they are completely capable of destroying them and outgun them.

I agree, with a slight twist: BTR-80 only engages M113/AAV-7/Stryker when the enemy unit is not facing it.

 

Here's a track with several BTR-80 placed in the -/+25° front cone of an M113. The only BTR-80 who takes the shot is out of this 50° cone.

 

Also, Bradley unit doesn't get engaged at all by BTR-80. Is that normal?

Another observation though: I had a MP session yesterday where I commanded an M-113 and was shot at by an AI BTR-80. It was facing me with its 12 o'clock and I had it on my 11 o'clock. I was hiding behind a corner of a building, and when I moved forward a little bit too much and exposed more of my APC, it opened up on me.

I have reported this to the team, I think this is due to the BTR not being able to penetrate the angled armour from the front.
