Thanks, Silver Dragon. I was just discussing the Harpoon Missiles and or RGM-84s. We normally use EDs Harpoon (RGM-84) missiles but they need more attention as they are not very accurate. The Surface to Air missiles we create are pretty accurate and they pick the harpoons off like Flies.

As mentioned I mainly use Wikipedia and Seaforces as my reference material.  https://www.seaforces.org/.

For missile speed in milliseconds, I use  https://www.metric-conversions.org/speed/mach-to-meters-per-second.htm

I forgot one Mod. A birdy brought up the Canadian Frigate mod. So it will done this week as well. It will be a remake of the HMCS Montreal. This will be HMCS Charlottetown FFH-339.

The Italian Frigate Andrea Doria and French Frigate Forbin are up next but they will take time. At least a couple of weeks to complete.

Hey Tromp, The SA-N-11 missiles have been corrected already on Project 965. They don't dance anymore. If ED updates any parts of their weapon files. It will affect all the missile files we declared. So we either have to find the weapons file they updated or in this case fix it ourselves. CH was able to determine which line items were changed.  BTW Tromp did you know there's a Dutch ship named Tromp.

Thanks, Silver Dragon. Very useful information. The most we can do with submarines is update the Harpoon and Tomahawk specs. At the moment we can't configure the Torpedoes at all. I tried declaring a different Torpedo using existing code but it doesn't work. Also, at the moment no matter how I configure the submarines they always launch the default YU-6 torpedoes. So the Submarine configurations is always a Work In Progress. Thanks again for the information. BTW what is your source of information? Thanks.

Hi Admiral, hope you’re keeping well. It seems like you’ve got your shipyard cranking up to full capacity and I’m excited to see what’s coming!

Given your reply here, is it also the case that the Type 23 and the Normandie have also had their SAMs updated/fixed and so can be re-downloaded?

Hello Ivan, can you send me a PM of exactly what you're asking? Thanks.

ED just released the Afghan and Flaming Cliffs Trailer so I think the Update will be released soon. What caught my eye was the new Insurgent Character below. So they may release the new soldiers they've been working on as well.

I will be creating some Armored Assets for the Afghan Map. I have a very good inventory of Armored vehicles and Tanks. Stay tuned for that.

At the moment I'm prepping the Submarines pack for release.

Late note: The update has been released!!

Hi Admiral,

Just want to congratulate your 20/20 vision, spotting insurgents, within tree cover.....I only spot them as I, Eject from my burning aircraft, or on one of the rotations, which rapidly increase after getting my tail rotor shot off, by the 20/20 vision, deadhot insurgent...hidden in the trees, LOL.

Hahahaha. Thanks. FlyingScotsman. My eyes are pretty bad but I have 32-inch monitors so it makes everything much more clearer.

I guess they may release the new soldiers with the CH-47.

Yeah, that update ate lots of space on my Hard drive. It's definitely made for Fighter Jets, helicopters, and Armored vessels.

I once tried to send you a file, the site wrote that you can't accept messages-?

Hello Ivan, yes it told me I had too many messages. I'm in the process of deleting them so you should be able to send me a message soon. I will send you a message and you can just reply back.

Hello Penquin625. So far so good with a couple of mods but I only tested a couple of them. So I will work on finishing up the mods and releasing them in no particular order.

Today I was testing the submarines before release and I noticed Ed's new submarines and I noticed they release steam. That's a new feature and would be great for the ships but I can't find the code for them.  Even underwater they release steam which is not good because you can clearly see them.

Stay Tuned. Thanks for your patience.

The smoke should be thicker from missiles being launched from ships, but now the vapor is white? Wasn't he black before?🤔

Hey Tromp, I haven't released the update for the Project 965.  Here's the updated SA-N-7A Missile file. Please replace the existing file with the attached file. You can post the test results here if you like. The missile works fine for me. Thanks.

https://ln5.sync.com/dl/6a6711fd0/wmxteey9-6r2pdh9s-akkftm56-us55cfh5

Yep, it used to be black smoke. There is a way to change the color of the smoke but you have to dig into the files to find it.  Most of the current world warships don't release smoke from the exhaust or stacks as we call them. It's more like the heat coming from a Jet Engine because many of the ships have Gas Turbine engines. I would rather it look like Jet Engine exhaust without the fire than smoke.  Smoke is more for the older ships.

Hi Admiral Sir,

I hope with the release of the submarines, the USS Los Angeles 688i (updated) is included. I'm having frame rate issues when this submarine comes in to view. I have of course run some tests, but when she is within an 8-mile radius, the frame rate drops immensely and gets almost locked/ frozen.

My question is therefor if maybe the textures are outdated with all the new updates?

Also reporting that the USS Bowen is now showing as a submarine type, even though it is listed as frigate (GT.attribute = {wsType_Navy,wsType_Ship,wsType_ArmedShip,wsType_GenericLightArmoredShip, "Frigate", ) inside the lua file.

Kind regards,

Hello Admiral! The SA-N-7A rockets are working well! Thank you very much! Yes, I know that in the Dutch navy there were many ships with the name "Tromp".🙂.

Hey SilentGun, I'm slowly working on both the USS America and San Antonio. I was working on the America yesterday trying to get the weapon sounds to work.  Trust me, both are on my shortlist to repair.

Hey RWC, I don't think the textures will cause FPS issues unless it's a really large file. The Submarine files are fairly small.  I will be releasing the submarine pack today. I updated the Encyclopedia file yesterday for all of them. - Also, ensure your graphics are set to run on performance and as well as your PC Power.  Hopefully, the files don't cause you any FPS issues.

Great, Glad to hear it worked for you, Tromp. Thanks for the feedback.
