ACME_WIdgets Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 I have the same issue w/Su-33. In the drink 90% on carrier take offs. FYI - you can taxi BACK to the landing zone. Adding about 50% to take off run distance - and get off the ramp and not into the ocean. And the blast shields do not appear to cause collisions if your passes into them slightly. Make sure to use extra brake pressure + special afterburner modes. 5600x, EVGA 3070 FTW, B550 Tomahawk, M.2 Samsung, 32GB CL16, AIO 240mm VKB Gladiator Pro, Freetracker IR 3d printed, TM MkII HOTAS circa 1985 w/USB Asus 27" 2560x1440 60fps (so constrain DCS to 60fps) F-16, F-18 2021 = First year on DCS:
Mars Exulte Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 Keep in mind the Kuznetsov/ Su-33 is very weight sensitive. If you have much fuel or ordnance at ALL, you need to use the rearmost launch positions. Де вороги, знайдуться козаки їх перемогти. 5800x3d * 3090 * 64gb * Reverb G2
draconus Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 If you're heavier than 28t you should not use front take off positions. Then there are a few points to remeber: Make sure both engines are running Unfold the wings Extend full flaps Hide the inlet grids Hold the take off brakes (not regular ones) Go full MIL and wait for the engines to spool up Then go full AB and release the brakes Turn on special AB immediately When already in the air gear up immediately and hold the nose high (this is the skill part) If very heavy you will sink almost to the sea but hold the attitude until you start gaining altitude Then retract the flaps and ease up on AB when safe Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
NuII Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 It is reallistic at the moment. It is because there is weight limit to take off from Kuznetsov. If you are full loaded of armament, you need to have the super carrier moving forward or you need to have less than 50% of fuel. For extrat prop, you also need to remove the air intake grids before take off (LAlt + I), to activate the special afterburner on the Su-33 (LShift + E), use the reactor deflector because there is special breaks on it (Press U when you are aligned with the signs on the deck). Fly safe!
