SY_KO Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Has anyone got the neccessary skill set to make a ramp start trainer for the Ka-50 similar to the one made for Falcon4 SP4? The F4 one can be found here (although it wont d/l for some reason: http://cgi-bin.simradar.com/3657/File_Attachment/rampstarttrainer.zip I think it would be useful to learn which switches are where and what order to flick/push them in. Edit - this one works...... http://www.lead-pursuit.com/downloads/contrib/Ramp_Start_Program_2006-10-01.zip ~~~ Win7 64bit // i5 2500K @4.2Ghz // ASUS P8P67 Pro ~~~ ~~~ H50 Cooler // 12GB 1600 DDR3 // EVGA GTX580 SC ~~~ ~~~ TMW // Combat Pedals // TrackIR 4 ~~~
GGTharos Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 I don't think you'll need it. The startup process in the heli is fairly simple - most of the switches you need to fly are fairly close together. From there on the things you need to check come from a checklist. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

CrashEd Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 (edited) I did create a ppt file to train the start up procedure. Using mouse just click on higlighted items in every slide to learn the workflow. Maybe it will be helpfull for someone. http://rapidshare.com/files/157743109/Startup.rar.html This is a really good startup guide. Simple, but effective. I'll definitely be printing it off as a reference - rep inbound! One other thing I'll be doing is putting the producers notes on my iPhone and/or laptop, so that I have them as a standby reference when I'm flying. Also, with them being on the iPhone, I can watch them whilst travelling on the train to work etc to brush up on my skills prior to the demo release :D :smartass: Something akin to the F4 startup guide would be awsome though, with some kind of pass/fail status so that you could learn from your mistakes... Edit: (by the way, I will not be broadcasting or publicly showing any of the videos. It's just for my own use etc, etc). Edited October 26, 2008 by CrashEd 1
