Hello!

I know, its beta, but I thought at least we can use the MAV in its basics...

I point track a target with the TGP, AUTO handoff active. The Maverick (D) weapon page is showing handoff in progress, and after the message disappears the MAV seeker is jumping from one target to another or it just slews away into the desert or it locks up anything a few hundret feet away from where the TGP is looking.

I attached a track.

As I didnt save the first one where it appears for me the first time, I flew it again and saved the track.

I fire 3 mavs, none of them hit any target. The jumping from one tgt to the next one also appears. To be exact, this time it dont jumps from tgt to tgt, it jumps from tgt to ground next to tgt.

I dont want to blame anyone, it could be that the problem sits between monitor and chair, but I am not sure what I can do wrong here.

Thank you

Didn't record a track but confirm the bug. D Version doesn't handover correctly and H version doesn't lock (but slews correctly).

PS: Not always, but sometimes, maybe pilot error but haven't yet found out what I did differently, trying it like Wags on the Video. I mostly have to manually lock the Mavericks in the WPN page TMS up.

I attach a second Track in this post.

Now this is the same weird behaviour but with the H version of the MAV.

As Eteokles has said above, the H version is not locking at all. And I experinced also this weird jumping as with the D version.

Hi Rhinozherous

I have tested and I am not seeing an issue, I do have a report open for mavericks and being difficult to lock near roadside lamps, I think this is what is going on with the second track replay.

thanks

How are you testing stuff, perfect conditions?

if you just copy Wags video that is not gonna give you bad results, with the D version he placed a tank in the open field with nothing near it, the other one had some stuff near but he slew it manually, that works better than TGP handoff, it is a tutorial video so ofc he wants perfect conditions.

place some vehicles between buildings, near hangars, silos, groups of vehicles etc... youll see Mav jumping around and having very hard time locking onto TGP target.

I had it happening constantly with T-90s in a city in Syria map, I used the Ds and Gs... It would lock buildings and street lamps and sometimes be cycling targets nearby when TMS UP. TGP handoff would work only if the WPN page could lock, but inside of a city the WPN page is not locking the intended targets most of the time.

It should be locking heat signatures, but we don't have heat modeled, instead we have contrast to represent heat, some cold objects, like buildings, are glowing white in WHOT mode that shouldn't be the case.

This is the same with TGP in f16 and hornet, don't know about other planes since I don't own them.

I attach the Mission I use when it occurs. It is just a small training mission.

I always used the "F16C COLD A2G" and WPT 2 is the TGT wpt. I am sure you will see what I mean.

Only tested with AGM-65H last night so far, but it was very consistant behavior that the Mav seeker would slew to the TGP upon TMS up, but it would never lock. I had to manually lock the target on the WPN page. Auto mode was active on the TPOD.

H and K version doesn't have auto lock, you have to lock manually as far as I figured it out, D and G the infrared versions auto lock.

Hi... Same problem as you but with the 65D... sometimes it lock, sometimes not, and if I manually lock on the WPN page, is not sure that the missile hit the target.
