Haha, the first section is priceless! They must have been laughing at you :P

No, I wasn`t flying. (thats not me flying in the whole vid:)) This was just to show me the damage model.

Something I forgot to mention:

- you can walk around if you don`t die after ejecting

- you can save a track AFTER flying, like in IL2 series

Here is my AAR for the 10th LLTM in Ahaus, Germany!

I arrived on Thursday, one day before the official opening of the LLTM in Ahaus, Germany. I knew for years about the LLTM but somehow i always missed it but this time we presented Black Shark for a wider crowd, being supported by Andreas "Urze" Urzedowski from www.leftside-limited.com and Massimiliano Rotti from www.xfighterseat.com. Jim "JimMack" Mackonochie and me were there for ED`s site.

Well, the first day was more about building everything and a first walkaround. Some guys had built their F-16 Pits which blasted me right away. This LAN / meeting is a MUST for EVERY serious pit builder. I saw 100 % working F-16 pits, where _every_ knob / switch is workin in game!

After we had setup our Black Shark corner Jim and his lovely wife arrived. It was getting late and some of us went to the hotel and others tried desperately to find some food in ahaus at 10 PM. Its harder than you would think.

Here is a picture, Massimiliano trying out Black Shark:

Friday the hall filled with crowd and of course more people were pouring in with their PCs or full built cockpits. The day went on and on and i met many guys from the Lockon community and made many new friends. We were rather busy because there were participants and visitors which wanted to try out Black Shark. Urzes 4 Monitors setup was a eyecatcher so he had all the people standing around his crazy setup while i had time to explain more details, like weapons deployment and such stuff. Jim`s task was to show the new Mission Editor and the possibilities this amazing Trigger system will bring to the mission builders. Sebur came to us and brought Jim and me a present, a bottle of finest wine from his region. You have to check out his absolutley crazy cockpit. Simply hop on to http://lan4friends.de/cockpit/cockpit.html ! It was a pleasure to see you again Sebur!

In the meanwhile our "Dutch Modding Crew" arrived, together with their Su-27 Joystick and the Su-27 Panel. Amazing, Superb, Unbelivable - heck, i will let the pictures speak on this one!

Su-27 Joystick ( yes, the coolie hat works and is pressable ! ) . obviously, stick is still WIP:

As already mentioned in the thread in the forums i bowed in front of the guys in behalf of Triggerhappy and of course, me.

Well, the rest of the day i tried to get in touch with some guys from the Lockon and Falcon community. Unfortunately i didnt had the time to speak longer with the Il-2 simmers but i will get in touch with them next year, being a old "Ace" in Warbirds ( anyone remember this ? ).

The competitions started also on Friday and most of the guys had briefings during Friday. The briefings were held in a cinema in the facilities of Tobit Software in Ahaus, which were providing catering and the facilities for the whole event.

Saturday was a very busy day as we had many visitors which wanted to try out Black Shark, so i had barely time to make any pictures. As the Falcon 4.0 guys were flying their competition mission i made a picture. Obviously Falcon guys fly on monochrome monitors : ;)

The day went over and we came to the last day of the event which wasnt that stressfull anymore. I had more time to meet and greet with guys and i had a fantastic time! Im very proud of meeting two guys from a polish forum which im usually visiting. Even they are Falcon 4.0 simmers they liked Black Shark very much. You have to visit this awesome event to feel the "Tiger Spirit"! No flaming between the communities, just cool guys, and at the hotel bar you can have some funny talks with guys playing Falcon and Il2.

Meeting with polish friends:

It was time for the end ceremony and the prices for the competition winners. The prices are amazing! The guys were getting TrackIRs, WLan Routers, Books from The Flying Legend and - a visit to a OPERATING DUTCH AIRFORCE base, which included: Simulator time in a F-16, attending a pre-flight briefing etc. I was a little bit jelous ;).

Jim took the mic as one of the last and thanked the whole organization team for doing a outstanding work and promised that we`ll be back next year.

So here is my conclusion: Grab your gear and come to the LLTM! Its unbelivable until you have been there.

I would like to thank:

Dee and Jim, Lorena and Massimiliano, Urze and of course Marijana for being there and us having a stressfull but great time.

Jan "Ice" Hilt and his whole team for organizing this awesome event!

SeBur for being like he is :D

The whole bunch of Jabog32 for representing the Lockon Community on a very high competitive level. Special thanks goes to Woody ( next time in Wuppertal, all beers on me ).

Joe Kurr, HPO and Wassefall. You guys do amazing work for the Lockon Community!

EagleEye for driving 400 Kilometers just to play Black Shark!

Mav1994 for being there and playing lockon on a competitve level, which is a quite unusal hobby for a 13 YEARS OLD boy.

The polish simmers community which attended ( you know who you are ).

Tobit Software for being a fantastic host.

And everybody who i might forgot ( sorry ).

See you on LLTM `09

Great report Groove!

It was nice to meet you again, too bad I couldn't find the time to visit you guys for a checkride in the Ka-50. (why did you leave so early? :P)

I have uploaded 100 pictures to the DFDT web site, you can find them here:

With all the reactions I heard, I think Tobit might have to build a second hall to fit all the participants for next year! :D

Unfortunately I forgot to add the rotorhub/mast sequenz to my video. I uploaded the new video and changed all the links in my report.

Here is the rotorhub/mast part at YouTube(This is after the Ka-50 was hit by anti aircraft fire...so some parts are missing): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLRdGocm_Y4

Thank you Groove for your report.
