While they are super capable weapons they are probably not as deadly as they portraited in DCS at the moment. Same for the weak MK20 for F18, Harpoons against ships and more... The damage model for ground/sea units should become better - hit zone, not just a 'health bar' but rather 'systems health bar' and more. ED, please consider making it a priority. Thanks!

It does have a few significant hurdles though. There's our PC hardware on the one hand but such a thing would probably mandate a major overhaul to every single ground vehicle and ship. On a related thread, I made a detailed post on how I would, in an ideal world, go about attacking the problem at least for ground vehicles, though I'm more than happy to do one for ships too (which is mostly the same kind-of thing at the fundamental level, just with a few extra bits, though those extra bits might require some significant changes). The DM as it stands is from 20 years ago, and is a limiting factor in immersion. While combat aircraft are cool, we need a better world to fly them in. If DCS is to stay interesting and immersive.

A state of the art simulation of systems wasted on a less than arcadish damage models on targets... It trully makes no sense if the Flag ships of DCS are ground attack and multirole aircrafts...
