DuncanXP311 Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 Actually you can fire 7/8 APKWs in a single pass and hit stationary targets. Here's a video: Please excuse the eventual errors either in grammar or mislabeling systems in the A-10C but I did this video kinda in a rush. Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. Any landing where the plane will fly again is a GREAT landing!
Foka Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 With Markpoints - yeah, no problem. But in more ralistic scenario vehicles start moving and you have to lock them manually with a slew, and this is much harder. But still 2-4 rockets per pass are doable.
silverdevil Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 at the end of this YT video multiple targets are hit. Orsi Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Hitting moving targets will be different, you will need to move tgp manually. But is a nice video. For static targets will works pretty well
Rhinozherous Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Shouldnt it work with a point-track of the TGP? Then it follows the moving tgt. i7-14700KF 5.6GHz Water Cooled /// ZOTAC RTX 4070 TI Super 16GB /// 32GB RAM DDR5 /// Win11 /// SSDs only DCS - XP12 - MSFS2020

Foka Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 If you lock TGP on target it will track, but when you hit 1st target rest of vehicles will move, so your Markpoints will be useless and you have to lock each target manually.
DuncanXP311 Posted October 7, 2020 Author Posted October 7, 2020 Yeah targeting moving targets is an hasse, here's my best attempt Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. Any landing where the plane will fly again is a GREAT landing!
Zad Fnark Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 I regularly cap off 5 on my passes. Watch all 5 hit. Don't know if I trust one to cap a light armored vehicle. Questions are a burdon, and answers a prison for one's self.
TheGuardian Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 I regularly cap off 5 on my passes. Watch all 5 hit. Don't know if I trust one to cap a light armored vehicle. I've been fairly lucky so far one has handled light armor, every now and then I find one that needs just one more rocket. If I aim to the front of a vehicle I can usually get 5-6 off and they will hit, but midway or farther back, nope last one always misses.
Zad Fnark Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 When you're carrying several pods, you can afford to be rather "free" in their use. :) Using the laser, I actually dropped an LGB for the first time off the Hawg. Learn the basics, and the other things get easier. Questions are a burdon, and answers a prison for one's self.
Priest Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 I tried this out couple nights ago just for fun and was able to hit multiple, non-stationary targets on single pass. Granted.... this was on a nicely arranged column of trucks set up in mission editor. Line up on first target at max range, target with TGP, fire rocket and lase until hit and at same time fire off additional rockets every half mile. Upon first hit, shift TGP to next target with laser on. Boomtown. Shoot more distant target first so TGP view not obscured by explosions. Probably a better way, but it works!
