I only have Ka-50 and A10C and DCS is taking up 88 GB on my storage. Half of which are /CoreMods/aircraft/

And the biggest one in there is F14 at 5.7GB. I don't have F14 module. And what is ChinaAssetPack? is that JF-17? If so, I don't have that module either. Yet they take up 11GB.

I thought they were left over during free trial so I deleted them and they come right back after repair. I also see F-16 at 3.1GB and F-18 at 2.3GB. I don't own those either. And I'm thinking there's a pattern here.

Are we going to be required to download full module of everything released by ED in the future even tho we don't buy them?

Shouldn't there be lighter version with lighter model and textures if all we're gonna need them is for AI?

Do you have a second HDD? You could move these folders to another drive and create a hard link.

A-10C / AJS-37 / AV-8B / BF-109 / KA-50 / F-14 / F-16C / F-5E / F/A-18C / FC3 / JF-17 / F-86 / M-2000C / MiG-21bis / P-51D / Spitfire LF Mk. IX / UH-1H Huey

Let's say that you connect to a Multiplayer Server that is running a mission where there are some F-14 and JF-17 ... how do you expect your DCS to show those aircraft to you if you don't have any files about them?

Planes like the F-14 are divided in two parts: In CoreMods it's basically the exterior 3D model and liveries, using 5.7 GB ... in Mods is stored the cockpit and the advanced flight model files, using a furtehr 3.2 GB.

The DCS recommended hardware requirements are:

... Free hard disk space: 120 GB on Solid State Drive (SSD);

So, if your PC doesn't meet the requirements you may consider getting a larger SSD drive.

For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra

For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar

Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

Answer is in my original post.

And I reiterate once again. It wasn't about ME running out of SPACE. It was if ED going to continue to add full HD textures and models on all future modules and 3rd party modules.

You're loading 5.7GB of OTHER player's planes and people are wondering why MP takes so much CPU and VRAM?
