I recently saw a twitch feed with VR and I saw a black device on the fliers finger that I surmise was a VR pointer. Any such device? Thanks.

Yep, great tool. Been pretty greath on the Rift-S. Very passionate developer. Cant wait to get it back into action on the ordered HP Reverb G2.

Totally agree. I would not want to play without it.

One of my controllers recently failed, and jonesing for the replacment to come. Flying one handed sucks.

Looks awesome. :D I'll put my order in after the line shrinks.

EDIT: Does this work in other sims, or only DCS? This would rock in X-Plane as well.

Sadly, xplanes mouse is pure garbage.

I'm hoping MSFS does MUCH better, hoping to get on the VR beta specifically to critique the VR Mouse to ensure compatibility. LOL

I would get on the waiting list now. There is no obligation to buy if you number comes up and you change your mind.

Thanks. You dont have to use a blank board or such none sense right? The videos are unclear. The device just tracks finger movement like VR does the head right?

It acts like a mouse on your finger. There’s a sensor on the hmd, that tracks the pointers. The pointers have 3 buttons, which act as lmb, rmb, and one as scroll. Just move your hand and the cursor in the pit moves where you place your hand.

Really the best hand tracker at this moment for the DCS flying.

The immersion in a flight simulator goes multiple levels higher when you need to move hands around the cockpit to operate the aircraft.

The Aircraft as well becomes easier to learn as you generate a muscle memory what are the proper orders of functions around it.

You as well get far easier learning experience and handling with your HOTAS as you do not need to bind everything in your HOTAS or try to aim things with your mouse. Your virtual cockpit just turns to be your "simpit" with as high accuracy and details as the 3D modelers can make it.

The best scenario we could ever get is a optically tracked hands like Oculus Hand Tracking, that doesn't require any gloves or any devices. It does have limitations like how to do "right mouse button" or "scroll" accurately and intuitively where a physical button is on benefit.

But that likely is not going to come on us anytime soon and it would be limited only for Oculus Quest 2 users at this moment. Considering that ED doesn't like specific hardware manufacturer features (ie. Nvidia vs AMD) it is unlike that would be added before that technology comes available in SteamVR as well as it is in the Oculus (even when Oculus touch controllers are supported in DCS).

I would like to see in a future official support from ED for this product, as what He has made to DCS Community is just amazing work. Best thing then Joystick.

i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S.

i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "blank board" There is a sensor that you put on the HMD, and the Finger Control Units (the thing on the finger) has IR LEDs for the tracker to, well track.

Miles added the option to add a few more buttons so you can add it to the leff/right side of the HMD. The most immediate uses are "salute to launch" in carrier, or Zoom.
