Tapatalk prompts

When I go to a thread I get prompted, do I want to use tapatalk or continue using safari, when I browse from my phone or iPad, I understand that this is an app that some people use, I don’t, is there a way to turn the prompt off? Or make it sticky so that I can select my preference once... it’s a low level irritation but it is ...irritating.

Nice that Tapatalk is available for those that prefer to use it... I prefer not to be bothered with it. ;)

Yes i get this quite often now on mobile as well. I have never used tapatalk and quite frankly don't even know how it works. I hope this notification goes away for good. I do not want nor need any links or notifications or account sharing or crosslink things with any other social media stuff like twitter, facebook or instagram. Having all those links and like buttons make me suspect facebook is now hooked into this forum as well gives me a quite uneasy feeling. Hope we simply get the dcs forum back without any social media hooks in place.

Ok it slipping past mildly irritating... to being more a full on psychotic break... for the love of god, get rid of these prompts... for something that I have no interest in.... please...sob:cry:

I also think they're really annoying. I actually tried tapatalk once and quickly uninstalled it. Whatever hook is in this forum needs to be removed if possible.

Android mobile - same annoying experience. I'm sure anyone who uses tapatalk will know they can do it with dcs forums. Please remove the code which triggers the reminder!

Every new page in Safari on my iPhone. Every page. Every time. Over and over...

Really annoying.

Yeah, seeing the same on iPad.

The current forum is pretty mobile friendly. For users who prefer to use an app in order to browse a website, by all means, do so. But I see no reason to prevent people from actually browsing the website in a web-browser unless they first click something like "Continue on Safari". In terms of usability, that is not great.

Still the same, my iPad keeps forgetting my choice, and when I visit the forum after a week, it once again hides the entire page behind a Tapatalk prompt.

If my choice was at least saved and I was only ever bothered once, I guess it would be fine. But every couple of days, that‘s a bit annoying.

I put in a support ticket to DCS about a month ago hoping to get an answer. But no.

My support ticket got response: 
We understand that Tapatalk pop up is inconvenient for you, but unfortunately it is not possible to disable 

So there. Its really so useful....

"HEY WE'VE GOT AN APP, WOULD YOU LIKE THE APP? THE RELEVANT STUFF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR IS RIGHT BEHIND THIS POPUP AND WE'VE ASKED YOU A DOZEN TIMES ALREADY, BUT HEY WE GOT AN APP!"

Edit : Seems other forums have reported the version of Tapatalk plugin that was running on their site was outdated, and might have been causing this issue (for iOS users).

I don't even know what Tapatalk is good for. I never used the old forum on mobile devices, but I understand it was not mobile friendly at all. The current forum, though, looks very mobile friendly to me, so it's a bit unclear why a 3rd party app should be used to browse a website.

In any case, blocking the website in order to promote 3rd party tools - I really hope that only happens by accident.

Sounds pretty deliberate to me: "We understand that Tapatalk pop up is inconvenient for you, but unfortunately it is not possible to disable" presumably its an income item for DCS.
