Canada Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 (edited) Looks like it's already down. :D I will try again later - thanks for sharing! God damn it, if that's the case then my ISP is blocking port 80. May they rot/burn/die in hell. That's just worng, if they really wanted to reduce traffic they should go after bittorent, not private web servers. I'm moving in august and I'm switching to a decent ISP. Or maybe it's the domain name... Try this: http://70.83.38.7/Producers_note_6/ Edited July 17, 2008 by Canada Helicopters fly.
Feuerfalke Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Those have been working since the first producer's note, have they not? I don't think so. I noticed in several videos, especially those made by GA, that they didn't respond to turns and maneuvers, no matter how violent they were. Same for one of the first free-flight-videos, where cockpit and outside views switched a lot. I could be wrong, though. ;) MSI X670E Gaming Plus | AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | 64 GB DDR4 | AMD RX 6900 XT | LG 55" @ 4K | Cougar 1000 W | CreativeX G6 | TIR5 | CH HOTAS (with BU0836X-12 Bit) + Crosswind Pedals | Win11 64 HP | StreamDeck XL | 3x TM MFD

-sulan- Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Very nice video as allways Wags!!! Great video indeed, I'm looking forward to see the hires version. Wags, are you using a TrackIR 4 pro? My experience with the 3 pro is that I have trouble keeping my head perfectly still especially when looking down. Maybe the TrackIR 4 is better for that, but anyway I posted an idea to make flipping switches easier: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=497739&postcount=422 Do you think it's still possible at this stage of development to put that option in the code? It shouldn't take much more than a reference frame rotation...:smartass: Can't wait to take this Sim for a spin :pilotfly: That's an excellent idea me thinks!!!
192nd_Erdem Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 It's quite a disappointment that vehicle damage modelling is still so simple . . . Probably the least improved part over LO:FC.

predaeus Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 I probably spotted a typo in the producers notes, you can see it in the attachment, please ignore when it is known, or I am wrong. 2
Feuerfalke Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 I probably spotted a typo in the producers notes, you can see it in the attachment, please ignore when it is known, or I am wrong. Yeah, typo - very good find! @ 192nd_Erdem I noticed that, too, but I'd way much more like to see realistic crashes. In the recent videos this was extremely obvious. Even when the aircraft touches the ground even at a very low angle, it still just stops immediately when any part of the aircraft touches the ground and turns into a crater with a small fire coming from it. I know it's not a crash-simulator, but a little more effects on this side, beyond the high-fidelity flyables would be really appreciated. At least by me. :D MSI X670E Gaming Plus | AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | 64 GB DDR4 | AMD RX 6900 XT | LG 55" @ 4K | Cougar 1000 W | CreativeX G6 | TIR5 | CH HOTAS (with BU0836X-12 Bit) + Crosswind Pedals | Win11 64 HP | StreamDeck XL | 3x TM MFD

Guys, you have seen an early beta of the English cockpit. Don't worry, the typos were already fixed in the final version. ;) Edited July 21, 2008 by ViperVJG73 Best Regards Viper System: Intel Core i7-4790, 3,6GHz, 16GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 2TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5, TM HOTAS Warthog;(MSFFB2 for testing); TrackIR4 +Track Clip Pro; Windows 10 Pro.

EvilBivol-1 Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 2 questions: Has the burn-time for vehicles been extended at all, and is the ricochet effect modelled for AP rounds exclusively, or applicable to all cannon rounds? The burn time for vehicles has been extended and is now adjustable in the LUA files for various vehicles types. The ricochet effect is modeled only for AP ammunition and small arms. Everything else is HE and explodes on impact. 1 - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. S77th-konkussion Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 USAF seems to prefer depleted uranium - and quite rightly, since it increases round momentum. If you have enough kinetic energy you don't need explosives. USN CIWS- same thing. Only 20mm. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
Force_Feedback Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Yup, and now they use tungsten because DU is dangerous for everyone and everything around it :) Better pile it up at some nuclear facility rather than poison everyone involved, on both ends of the bullet/armor/bomb. Sure the risks are nill, sure, that's why they finally start using tungsten, no harm at all with DU... /sarcasm. 1 Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
