So far its pretty obvious that there's been no change in the flying characteristics or statistics of anyone whos had the bone pointed at them. If anything the challenge has made them improve. We will continue with the 7 day course of "anti-biotics". But i'm already calling this a "Witch hunt".

I think the better solving it is recording of Tacview tracks by server. After each mission this track is put on web-site by script. Like here for example.

Have you checked Space Shuttle simulator yet? You sit at 260 km up, your speed is 23000 fps, no one ever will get you there. I think it's safe to take the guitar with you... :smilewink:

As far as I am concerned...Im not concerned at all. Its too soon to make out any conclusions in the stats from 3 days of "anti-biotics" for the simple fact that the ammount of sessions without ACMI has been very small compared to the number os sessions already made this month.I flown only yesterday and while I havent noticed any improvement of perfomance on my part due to the absense of ACMI I noticed that there are no longer high kill ratios on the server anymore. I attribute some of that to the broad coverage AWACS has been having since the mission was altered on the 169th last may.

I have been saying since then, that it makes scores more "even" simply because it promotes mutual kills over hilltops ACMI or not. This hasnt changed. By August 1 I dont expect the score board to change significantly, even if ACMI has been removed for the remainder days of july.

The rest of the reasons why K/D ratio went down this weekend can be attributed to many other factors in play, be it ACMI, or simply, the server population (most likely). therefore more experimentation would require to arrive at any cocnclusions. A true experiment would be to remove AWACS alltogether and then run different months with ACMI on and off to see.

If August goes by without ACMI and the scoreboard changes along with kill ratios, we would know then, but given the AWACS factor I honestly doubt it but for very few isolated cases.

My point is, worse than the usage of scripts for super SA is the total over dependence from AWACS datalink by many online players. Theres a huge deficit in radar handling perfomance. I did notice the most scoreboard changes when AWACS are brought online in missions and then when they are taken off.

Its the place where most new guys go but unfortunately they don't learn much other than how to fly low and shoot at whatever the AWACS shows them.

I caught you very high close to Sochi on another server that disabled TacView the other day, engaged you , ran from your 120's then chased you down in EOS, when you reversed round a mountain I splashed you with a 73, that didn't happen so easy before - make of that what you will.:D

Frog Pilots two cents.............

There is a more of a chance to attack and survive on a server with awacs ( single flights without cover)

I was on the 104th at the week end and up till the point where some Idiot TKd awacs, did manage to keep situational awareness and (evade an attack by a fighter) but when the awacs was destroyed, I was reduced from running from anything that "peaked" on my EWS (dropping all my iron and running home), I know I cant speak for all A10/25/25T, but awacs is for me a valuable resource.:noexpression:

There has always been noobs arround. That hasnt change. What apears to be aggravating is the number of people that get trained over the months and years with AWACS but to become highly dependent of it and then keep asking for it (or not show up at all) when it is not present.

I've had some known people come into mission and then leave/complain because AWACS has either been shot down or not present, or does not provide cover for specific areas of their convinience.

Use the friggin radar :)

Heh, I have never been able to rely on AWACS much. It ends up being useless for me usually; all it can do is tell you where the closest bandit is, IF it sees that bandit.

I would suggest something along this line:

The server should be allowed to record ACMI files and provide them to individuals at their request. This would commutate that the server rotate every hour or so to keep file size down, and since most of these missions are often flown a2a, it would only make sense to keep a fresh mission up.

With respect

But wouldn't that kinda hurt the bombtruckers that do like to join in? its very disheartening to think some fighter guy cheats n we mud movers pay the price,*******by being given an hour to make a dent in the campaign, or am I not taking into account that the servers in question are really just for radar V radar aircraft, because not many bombers come on to that kind of server, so it dont matter?.:noexpression:

***** now I am not saying this wots it cant be exploited by bombers too, just ive only heard of fighters SO FAR.

How would it hurt the bombers? As a bomber driver myself, I rarely find any use for TACVIEW because its always the thing that you dont see that kills you. As far as a2a goes in a bomber, you want to avoid that situation, but the A-10 rates its nose fast enough to keep a vis on the fighter at most times.

Sorry Hitman my fault, what I mean is the part where you say

"This would communicate that the server rotate every hour or so"

would that part not stop (us) bombers from putting a dent in the senario, after say, successfull knock out of a sam system only to have the server re start and we would be back at square one, about the tackview, imo, I at the moment have the feeling if one has it,(exploite)we should all have it or none, so we get back to level playing field, in other words, to what the origional programmers set as standard in LOMAC, but ach well, I will still get shot from the sky what ever:D.

Most online servers that have both aspects of the mission have always favored the air to air players. Currently there are 3 (possibly 4) servers that include both a2a and a2g, and the VAST majority fly a2a preference in those servers. If you only have 2-3 people in the bomber wing, and the server(s) have 20,000 units on the map and 19,999 of them are SAMS or a/a capability, how much work do you think is going to get done? Personally I think the mission designers who put these missions up in the first place delve WAAAAY too deep into the mission building. These same servers are basically called air-quake servers. People just want to go online and score kills in these servers and thats it. You wont catch me doing a2g in a server that features both aspects unless Im on comms with a team.

Hummm? I cant remember, GK! S! 104th?

Again, 169th today killed 1, then 2 in TWS from 41,000ft 1.2 Mach. I didnt even get a spike. 3 & 0 + 7 & 0, and they were way above average pilots.

I'll explain my point to you a bit clearer then ,

no offence , but your the most paranoid regular I know in HL.

It wasn't long ago you were sounding out every guy that lagged as a print screening cheat.

Now your trying to make out that everything is easier now LUA export has been disabled.:smilewink:

It seemed easier to shoot you down the other day but im sure that has nothing todo with TacView or does it.:alien:
